Inspired by DD (age 3) just asking me "mummy, why are your boobs so long?"
😂

Not so backhanded but I love it when my 7 year old DD says “mummy, can I please have that dress/skirt/shirt etc when I grow up?” Honestly, it makes my day (week?) every time 😂😂😂

K4tM · 28/10/2023 17:43

And from my son after asking me why I was putting on makeup (I answered to make myself beautiful), he walked off saying, ‘My mummy is the beautiful-est. she is not like the other mummies, she is more.’

God love him. The nicest compliment I ever had.

I am losing weight, my 7 year old - your tummy isn't as wobbly and big now. Cheers pal

That's a compliment 😂😂These are amazing

Sugargliderwombat · 28/10/2023 17:53

Why have you got such hairy arms ?

Butteredtoast55 · 28/10/2023 17:56

Mummy, I love your spiky little hedgehog legs 😁

Snugglemonkey · 28/10/2023 18:04

Mummy your tummy is lovely and squashy. Just like Shrek's.

Simonjt · 28/10/2023 19:55

Our son regularly tells me he likes the black stripes I have added to my hair…I guess I don’t have much black left as he used to like my white stripes.

He always tells me I’m like Jafar from Aladdin in everyway in the live action version.

PuppyMcPupFace · 28/10/2023 20:05

I love thé way your elbows are so squishy 😳

menopausalmare · 28/10/2023 20:10

I'm 50 today and we were looking through old photos. My 12 year old said "mum, your face hasn't changed but your body has".

Myhouseisaspiderhotel · 28/10/2023 20:19

This is some of my little gems thus far:
12 month old pointed to a relatives cross hung on the wall which has Jesus on. Then said "mummy". We laughed for ages because she could see the hair was long and straggly like mine (no disrespect to Jesus) but I was like, do I have a beard?

I once had my hair curled at the hairdressers and got "mummy you look like a beautiful lion" then my other child said no it's more like those curly dog ears (think she meant a king Charles spaniel).

I got a long military style coat which made me look like Dracula, apparently.

I got my eye brows tinted and my youngest was scared of me and my 9 year old said, wow will they stay like that 🤣

StillFanta · 28/10/2023 20:22

My eldest DC7 loves my squishy, wrinkly Mum tum. If I'm ever getting changed or I'm wandering around in my Bra he always shouts "BELLY!!" And goes to cuddle it 😅

Justcallmebebes · 28/10/2023 20:24

On holiday last week, I'd scrubbed up for a night out and my youngest GC said, "nan, you look so young. Are you really 100?".

Still trying to figure that one out Hmm

LittleRedYoshi · 28/10/2023 20:27

Toddler DD asked me to build a castle for her toy bunny out of magnetic tiles. When I finished she said, "That's very pretty, mummy! But Bunny doesn't like it" and proceeded to take it apart.

Also once had, "Oh mummy - you're not wearing your rings! You're not pretty any more..."

ElleCapitaine · 28/10/2023 20:34

“You have a lovely face, mummy. Here’s your eyes, and here’s your nose, and there’s your lips, and there’s your chin. And there’s your other chin.”

thousandyears · 28/10/2023 20:35

Not sure if this is a backhanded compliment to me or teacher, but:

'I love Mrs X. She's soft and cuddly, just like you.' (We're both overweight. Also both kind, nurturing people, I like to think!)

Onethingatatime23 · 28/10/2023 20:36

"Mummy, you have drawn on your eyes" when I put makeup on.

Clawdy · 28/10/2023 20:38

Grandson to DH: "Come on, Grandpa, another game of football! "
DH, jokingly: "Ooh, no lad, I'm very old!"
Grandson, in a gentle voice: " Yes, but you've had a good life..."

Nottodayplease36 · 28/10/2023 20:41

Really sweet nice 12 year old taking a photo of me after getting ready for a night out, looks at the photo “oh, that one isn’t so good, you don’t look like that in real life” 🙌

Hibernatalie · 28/10/2023 20:48

Your hair looks beautiful mummy, I love the silver stripes (at it least it reminded me I needed my roots done)

Hibernatalie · 28/10/2023 20:49

My niece once asked my sister what life was like during the war (my sister was born in 1978)

Howling

DapperDame · 28/10/2023 20:51

ds1 to ds2 (talking g about homework in a subject I cover at work): "You have to remember, ds2, Mum is a very useful resource."

AndrewGarfieldsLaptop · 28/10/2023 20:57

Mummy you're so big... but strong?!?

(I'm only a size 16 cheeky fucker)

TeenLifeMum · 28/10/2023 21:02

Dd1 was adamant dh was on tv - it was tiger woods. Dh is very white. She also declared she liked my wobbly bits (after dtds were born)!

Pawtucketbrew · 28/10/2023 21:05

That I looked pretty today like her step-mum. I'll take it!
