I live in Durham.

So glad to hear there might be progress with the buses! It has caused so much disruption for lots of people.

Whiskeypowers · 27/11/2023 19:13

Fingers crossed!

Gatekeeper · 28/11/2023 20:49

S.W Durham near Spenny

SinnerBoy · 29/11/2023 07:38

Is it snowing up in the hills there? It is in Whitley Bay, since before 7 - I've never seen my daughter leap out of bed before 7:30 for a look!

AlviarinAesSedai · 29/11/2023 07:44

No snow yet in my hills, thank goodness. I hate the stuff.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 29/11/2023 09:11

Nothing in the Deerness Valley

PickAChew · 29/11/2023 09:21

A tasteful dusting in Durham city.

SinnerBoy · 29/11/2023 09:22

It's mostly melted round ours, we're only 100m away from the beach. There's about a cm by my daughter's school, it's about a third of a mile inland.

Clear blue sky now.

AlviarinAesSedai · 29/11/2023 12:36

Been told by DP’s that we had a light dusting about 8 ish. But I was already at work so missed it, such a shame not

PickAChew · 29/11/2023 22:41

It's definitely trying tonight but it's currently more sleety here and looks absolutely lethal out there. I can imagine our recycling bins not being emptied, in the morning because they've frozen shut!

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2023 07:05

Covering of snow here. Woke up at 515 to go to the gym. Went back to bed

AlviarinAesSedai · 30/11/2023 08:44

My bins are frozen shut. I was going to go food shopping, now staying home until gets a bit warmer.
God I hate the 🥶 ❄️ .
That’s commitment gym 5.15. I would also choose sleep.

PickAChew · 30/11/2023 09:22

We have about an inch, this morning. I'm hoping that my food shopping can get to me, all the way from Hexham.

Nolongera · 30/11/2023 09:25

Result of the ballot at GNE expected at 10am this morning I believe, back to normal tomorrow if offer accepted.

Nolongera · 30/11/2023 09:36

Oops, 10 am tomorrow I meant, I thought today was Friday. Getting old...

PickAChew · 30/11/2023 10:17

Someone on our bus wanker forum was reminiscing on how much they've missed the short notice cancellations list 🤣

That’s funny 😁. Especially as it was never correct. There were always more buses didn’t turn up.
I do love the App but it is beyond annoying when you are tracking a bus and it just bloody disappears!

PickAChew · 01/12/2023 10:37

Deal accepted. Buses back tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉

PickAChew · 01/12/2023 11:01

Makes 52% look like a landslide.

AlviarinAesSedai · 01/12/2023 11:59

Bloody brilliant. I’m so relieved.

AlviarinAesSedai · 01/12/2023 12:06

How do you know? Do you have someone on the inside?

PickAChew · 01/12/2023 12:55

Bus forum. As well as pure enthusiasts, includes drivers and a couple of managers for various companies.

AlviarinAesSedai · 01/12/2023 13:13

Weardale travel just put a status up. Thanking everyone for travelling with them and being late etc. I think they have been fantastic.
I’m going to see Fenwicks window next week now, as I’m off work. 🎅🏻

PickAChew · 01/12/2023 13:16

There's a rumour of free travel, next week, to lure passengers back.

I'm hoping the 64s can get back to some semblance of reliability. They've been awful. Well, more awful than usual.

Someaddedsugar · 01/12/2023 13:39

Wow that's tight isn't it @PickAChew !
