How many loads of washing are you doing today?

I’ve just done my washing, then I’ll do teen dc’s then I’m doing sheets and towels = 3 loads!

It’s a lovely day here (South Wales) so hopefully I can dry it outside.

That’s the excitement for the day!

How much washing are you doing today?

we mostly do 1 overnight most nights as we get a cheaper tariff however I have an extra one just finishing off as it looks like a nice drying day.

margotrose · 22/10/2023 11:26

None.

BethDuttonsTwin · 22/10/2023 11:26

Will be three also and sadly am in a flat so all will be tumble dried. I'd love to have a washing line :(

Am trying a new brand though - Ariel with built in Lenor, so we shall see 🌸

Justkeepingplatesspinning · 22/10/2023 11:28

I could do one, it's nice and sunny here but cold.

BertieBotts · 22/10/2023 11:29

I did 3 yesterday. Might do some more today as our washing basket is overflowing, DC's seem fine though.

Ihaveawonderfulpartner · 22/10/2023 11:30

I do a load every single day so one load today. Nice day here so looking to get it on the line. Will look forward to ironing it all later if it's dry.

Kaaardiffgalnow · 22/10/2023 11:30

Three - also in South Wales so can't miss the opportunity of a sunny day when it pisses down here for most of the year.

TheTecknician · 22/10/2023 11:30

Only one. Towels and bathmat plus whatever else was in the laundry basket. The machine should be finished when I get home.

FoleyHuck · 22/10/2023 11:32

One in the machine and one at the laundrette for a service wash as we're just back from holiday so loads to do but the weather's a bit risky for hanging it out.

UndercoverCop · 22/10/2023 11:33

Third load is in first two are on the line, towels, heavy jumpers, jeans and bedding first. It's sunny and windy here. We have a 100ft garden and a line the length of it, I think I'll get 5/6 done today, might include leaving a load to get darked on , the joy of an outdoor drying day and on a weekend, can't get much better at this time of year!

DyslexicPoster · 22/10/2023 11:35

Ideally three but I'm late to realise its nice drying weather. Ones out, ones on a quicker wash, one load of whites that can really be fast washed. I have two washing lines and one rotary dryer. 3 bed house 4 kids so can't dry inside unless it fits on my 1.5 foot side hall window rail

BrutusMcDogface · 22/10/2023 11:36

I still don’t understand people for whom three loads is all of their washing! I could do 10 today if I had the hours/could be bothered.

washing one load per day doesn’t really work for me as I bloody hate permanent laundry everywhere. I would love to have a laundry day and get it all done in one or two days per week.

Candyflosscrochet · 22/10/2023 11:36

Ah!!! I'm not the only one excited to be able to get a load on the line! Usually do 1 a day but as my eldest ds is on a school trip the basket is empty....so taking advantage and washing some throws with a new Lenor scent I bought yesterday!
Ah small things!!

DeadBugMountainClimber · 22/10/2023 11:37

At least 1. Dog blankets (the glamour).

EilonwyWithRedGoldHair · 22/10/2023 11:38

Did one last night, hung it up this morning. Considering another one, but will have to check if the clothes on the clothes horse are dry.

South Wales as well, but don't know if I'd risk hanging out today. Rain not forecast but we've been having short drizzly bits of rain, so I suspect they'd come in as damp as they went out.

Ithinkitstimeforbed · 22/10/2023 11:39

I did the sheet wash this morning- duvet cover currently in the tumble dryer. Then I have one clothes wash to do and then this evening will be towels. So 3 today, I’m already dreading having to hang it all up and then eventually put it all away!

MolkosTeenageAngst · 22/10/2023 11:39

One load, first one since last weekend and likely won’t do another until next weekend.

DeadBugMountainClimber · 22/10/2023 11:39

They will be tumble dried. It’s not horrible out there today but it is chilly & humidity is 87%, so crap for drying.

MyCircumference · 22/10/2023 11:40

two,
one on the line
one about to go on the line
will run out of pegs

SiouxsieSiouxStiletto · 22/10/2023 11:40

The walking line was in 3 sections and two have broken. Still waiting for DH to fix it. I'm way too short!

So it's just our bedding today which is already on the line.

judgedreadful · 22/10/2023 11:41

I've done 3 all pegged out. I knew today was going to be nice so I saved all the washing until today.

Winter291 · 22/10/2023 11:41

None, it’s the weekend!

We do a few loads during the week and make sure it’s up to date on a Friday evening so the only things in the laundry basket today are what we wore yesterday.

Usernamesarenoteasy · 22/10/2023 11:42

3 or 4 probably. I only wash on Sundays.

SplendidUtterly · 22/10/2023 11:44

Same!
My Met Weather app dictates when i do the washing these days so i saved it all for today😀

mum2jakie · 22/10/2023 11:45

Last night's load is on the line. Another in the machine and I have a small white wash of school shirts etc to go on later.

I'm not sure it is such a great drying day here (west midlands). It's nice and sunny but the grass and ground are still wet so wonder if it will be too dry for the washing to dry properly.
