What's irked you this morning?

I was trying to buy a decent bulk of the Christmas presents from Smyths. Using my postcode they generated my address into the billing information yet kept saying there was an error in the address despite them being the ones putting it into that format! My house isn't a new build and I've had deliveries from them many times before! Then they emptied my basked!
What's irked you this fine Sunday morning?

Being woken up by my nose running and realising I still have this bastard cold that will not fuck off. I'm more than irked, I'm FURIOUS 🤬

dontforgetme · 22/10/2023 11:40

My oh. He is truly driving me fucking mad today. No real reason why either Grin

ohyesohyesoh · 22/10/2023 11:46

Traffic and shopping in sainsburys.
Its a massive store so very busy and they only have 4 staffed checkouts. The self service tills are staffed by one person who can't possibly keep up with all of the issues that happen.
It's stressful. I overheard a few other people grumbling too. I much prefer aldi

The Ringo app

DamsonDress · 22/10/2023 11:49

My bladder. Interrupting my decadent lounging.

OldTinHat · 22/10/2023 11:49

My poor cleaner being ill because I have guests coming this week. She sounded absolutely awful though.

fetchacloth · 22/10/2023 11:54

The weather.
It was forecasted to be sunny and breezy and 13c.
The reality is cold 9C , overcast with no breeze.
Three loads of washing on the rotary dryer 😔😒

Nannyfannybanny · 22/10/2023 11:57

It's my birthday, and it's been 4 weeks since I tested positive for COVID, first time ever, and I'm as weak as a bloody kitten, can't even do a beach walk 😩

Kim82 · 22/10/2023 11:57

The fact the cleaning fairies didn’t come through the night and I will therefore have to clean the house myself.

We’ve also run out of cat food which means I have to go out and buy some more and that means I have to wash my hair because it’s too greasy to be seen out in public with it.

Dammit.

My noisy household. I'm up already despite having worked 2 x nightshifts Friday & Saturday nights this weekend and went to bed at 7.30am this morning. I've been disturbed by DH coming to clean his teeth and poo in the en suite, DD's hairdryer, numerous people letting the damn cat in and out of the bedroom and now DD & her boyfriend who usually aren't seen before 1pm on a weekend - chatting noisily and watching True Crime. I much much much prefer weekdays after a night shift when they are all out at school & work!

I'm going to have something to eat and then go back to bed in a grump. It wouldn't be so bad if they were all noisy at the same time but I've a feeling DD and boyfriend are heading out into town then DH and my youngest DD will be home and there will be no peace still! Some of colleagues who work nights with me live alone and I think that must be so peaceful after a night shift!

I've broken my toes, they hurt, I can't do everything at my normal pace and some things (walking the dog) I can't do at all. Ex is doing my head in insisting I need help, I don't, and won't get the message that the only thing I need him to do is discuss how we will sort custody and splitting finances.

Helendegenerate · 22/10/2023 12:03

Waking up and remembering I was too lazy to do last night's washing up so the kitchen was looking rather less than sparkling. I rarely do this and there are much worse things in life to deal with but I have hereby posted my answer.

👍

People chewing in my ear. I think I have misphonia or something

Coldinscotland · 22/10/2023 12:21

Bloody seagulls.

IwishIdidntlikesugar · 22/10/2023 12:25

I was so happy when I went to the kitchen this morning and had done the washing up AND drying up last night. Now I’m just annoyed with myself because I’ve spent the past few hours doing absolutely nothing.

DrCoconut · 22/10/2023 12:33

We changed our plans for a tradesman to come and he hasn't turned up 😡 It's a frequent problem, why don't they message and rearrange if something happens and they can't make an appointment.

mamaduckbone · 22/10/2023 13:40

It's my last day of holiday and I could have had a lie in, but woke at 6.30am with work shit going round in my brain. I was proper angry.

WhiskersPete · 22/10/2023 14:06

The BBC referring to the 'killings' of Israelis but the 'deaths' of Palestinians. So glad I cancelled the licence fee.

Dontcallmescarface · 22/10/2023 14:42

The door catch on my oven has broken. Can't source a replacement anywhere so it looks like I'm going to have to shell out for a new cooker. 😡

icallitasplodge · 22/10/2023 14:47

DP trying to secure a giant spider to the wall by dangling it out of the window. Stood in the cold for ages and he doesn’t know left from right!!!!

Littlegoth · 22/10/2023 14:48

There was an orange wall.

familyissues12345 · 22/10/2023 14:50

My brother in law and his incapability at sorting anything out, with no thought of the impact on others.

I'm seriously getting pretty cantankerous the older I'm getting - and I'm only 43. There's no hope is there?!

I nearly started a thread about it this morning, about if anyone else has gone from being a happy go lucky doormat to really losing the patience with others.

Maybe I'll still start that thread!

Babyroobs · 22/10/2023 14:50

Waking up to power cut for the third day running ( was off for eight hours yesterday ) and thus not being able to have a cup of tea until midday.

Oh my goodness! I would weep.

Roystonv · 22/10/2023 14:55

Posh supermarket cafe, not busy. Five members of staff leaving tables uncleared so the public were clearing them and still they didn't bother. Annoys me that you pay top price for poor service.
