Just being nosey really, I just got a new job and I'm thrilled. I was going nowhere in life for a long time, was at a dead end in many respects, but I finally have a loving partner, my children are happy and I've just got a job at a bank Grin what is your job?

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 21/10/2023 16:17

Employment advisor, although I think in the UK it's called job coach (at the jobcenter).

EmpressSoleil · 21/10/2023 16:20

I work for the civil service writing reports from home and yes its as dull as it sounds 😂but I like wfh and the pay is decent plus the workload isn't huge. It suits my current time of life so I just stick with it.

Support Worker for complex dementia & general mental health - I love it … sometimes - this Government (and any future one) has HUGE improvements to make in our sector.

kids 17, 21, 26

I work part time in HR. Sometimes it's really interesting and it's very varied but it also can be boring (very admin heavy) or stressful (dealing with difficult situations.) I have a great team and only a 20 min commute so I'm pretty happy with it overall.

I've found HR one of the best sectors for having women in senior management positions and for offering flexible working. DDs are 6 and 4.

Petaldust · 21/10/2023 16:22

Used to be a production editor then stopped when I had kids. Then flipped properties and now manage a small property portfolio, have an Etsy shop and two kids. I was widowed when they were small. I'm in my early 60s now with one teenager at home.
