Are card payments down today

Have to go out this pm and keep reading on SM that there's a widespread problem with payments? Bloody cash machine at my local shops is out of order.
Does chip and pin still work?

I'm in Newcastle and things have been patchy. M&S problems. Dobbie's OK.

Contactless at M&S in Perth wasn't working earlier. You have to insert your card and enter PIN, and even that took a while to go through.

Fine for me, Ive used my card in 4 different places. I'm going to M&S later, hope its OK there

There were massive queues for the cash machine when I went past the supermarket earlier. Not seen that happen in years so there's definitely something wrong round here.

Some are. First time in ages I’ve been out. Post office not accepting cards and nor were Home Bargains.

I have made a contactless payment in a B & M today. I have also made several other card payments and not had a problem

Our M and S contactless was down (S Wales border)

All other shops I went in ok though.

I had problems in Asda Apple Pay didn’t work, tried tapping card declined. Then tried again went through but was stuck on authorising for quite a while.

I’ve used my card 3 times today contactless and PIN number entry without a problem.

when I logged on to my bank account there was a message about potential problems with card payments.

Just been on our local city for the last 4 hours. Used contactless in 6 different places and no problems in any of them. Weird!
