Confused - star children?

Today while at work a customer midway through a normal conversation told me that she exists on a different level to almost everybody around her.

She went on to outline all the ways in which she was special, examples being that she was a star child, brought to this earth to create change, that she is capable of seeing the world for what it truly is and that she would eventually expose it.

She then told me that she can talk freely and openly to me as I am an “old soul”. That she could feel the same power in me but maybe Ive lost touch with it as I’ve grown?

I didn’t really know how to respond so I mainly nodded and smiled. I’m in no way a deep thinker. I put a lot of thought into lunch from about 11am and then think about how I made a bad lunch choice from 1pm until about 3pm.

I feel like I was being recruited into a cult. I’ve googled some of the terms she used but it’s left me even more confused!

Any star children on here who can enlighten me?

OP you said you weren't very deep, something about lunch being about as deep as your thoughts go. I don't think that's unusual - but unimaginable amongst the neurodiverse people I know. Yet it's neurodiverse people who struggle in society while those who don't think deeper than lunch reap the benefits society has to offer. Something needs to change in terms of the way society views people who are different from the norm ie deviate from the median

I'm autistic and don't consider myself deep at all. I'm an atheist and don't believe in anything magical at all. Because I have quite logical thinking I'm very against believing in anything that isn't based on known facts.
I certainly struggle in parts of society however. I have always felt different to others. But I don't think that's because I'm on this earth for a special reason etc! I'm just a human like everyone else. My brain just works a bit differently.
I really don't think this is a case where you can blame NT people for not being inclusive or understanding enough to ND people. Some people are just a bit different and have strange ideas. It certainly doesn't mean they're all ND. And just because someone's brain works a bit differently doesn't mean we should agree with everything they say. People are allowed to think someone is a bit bonkers if they have strange ideas. Whether they are ND or NT. Most people do exactly as the OP did. Smile, nod and laugh when they get home.

@Marygoesround i think about more than lunch. It’s good to start a lighthearted thread with a joke.

You clearly want to end it with waffle. Each to their own I suppose.

if you want to characterise a thread about someone claiming to exist on a different level to the general population as an attack on ND people I think most people would know who has trouble thinking deeply.

Maybe because the earth is flat and the other sun is underneath?

By gum, I think you've cracked it! 😂

You mean we’re not actually being carried on the back of a giant turtle?

I’ve come across the 3D, 5D thing - if you’re more special and enlightened than others you’re living in 5D, whereas if you’re just an ordinary, ignorant plodder, you’re only 3D.

It’s typical grandiosity really.

Nah - we're all in 4D. Time is the 4th one. What's the 5th one called, any idea?

It’s something to do with space, I think… although I don’t pretend to understand the science!

I should have mentioned before - a physicist once told me that they now think there are 11 dimensions. Boggles the mind somewhat.

Prof Brian would be able to explain it, no doubt. He has a way of making you think "Oh yes, of course!" until half an hour after the programme when the fog descends again and you're left thinking "Er...... what?".

My old PT was apparently a star child. Funnily enough did a lot of drugs and lost custody of her child for 2 years. She told me angels appeared in her livingroom and told her she was sent here to save the world. This happened after she'd smoked DMT. Around the same time she told me this, there was a news story about North Korea and nuclear weapons and she was convinced this is what the angels were talking about and she had to stop Kim Jong-un.

She wasn't my PT for long because her friend who had been on a 10 day ketamine binge had a dream that the PT was a beauty therapist so she quit being a PT and applied for a beauty therapy course at the local college.

All the way though COVID she denied it's existence, it was all a conspiracy to control the masses bla bla bla.

That's hilarious!!
