If you've had Covid recently, what was your first symptom?

I'm trying to decide whether or not it's worth shelling out for a lateral flow test (I have vulnerable 80+ relatives staying)

Woke up this morning with sore tight chest, aching blocked sinuses, dizziness and what feels like a migraine aura. Had painful, cramping diarrhoea yesterday.

Nausea and depression which came from nowhere. Then headaches and hangover vibes, weak limbs. I am vv. tired!

Slightly sore throat, and a bit hot and cold, with lethargy, which eventually settled into a chesty productive cough.

I started with body aches, dizziness and sinus pain/congestion. Had a fever and night sweats for a couple of days but the main symptom was sinus congestion. Oh, and insomnia! Completely exhausted but felt "wired" and unable to sleep for more than a couple of hours - weird!

Sore throat, swollen glands and headache were my very first symptoms which soon progressed into heavy chest and the most awful upset stomach I’ve ever had.

I've got it now. Tested as were supposed to be seeing elderly parents for lunch. First symptom was a sore throat which was visibly red and stuffy head, similar to a hangover.

Sneezing and a headache caused by blocked sinuses.

I'm assuming it was the Rona because I felt dreadful but I didn't test.

My daughter started saying she felt dizzy and then about 12 hours later had a temp of 39.8.

Husband felt like he had a cold with a sore throat, very snotty and then got worse and worse. Dizziness started later for him but he has never had a high temperature.

There is no way of really knowing unless you test.

You have vulnerable 80+ relatives staying, and you'll only consider buying a test if your symptoms match those of a few complete strangers on the internet?

That's weird. I mean whether you test or not is up to you obviously, but what do other people's symptoms have to do with anything?

Bit of a sore throat and a few sneezes. Next day or two a dry tickly cough.

Very very mild this time.

Red eyes, dry nose but stuffy, headache at the front that feels like you smelt too much chemicals or perfume.

Exhaustion and poor mental health weirdly before hideous cold symptoms. Tested the day I couldn't get out of bed.

I had covid last week. First sign of illness was a sore throat quickly followed by high temp and dizziness. I spent 4 days only able to get out of bed to go to the loo. Then had 3 days where I just felt utterly exhausted everytime I tried to do something.

I wouldn't be around vulnerable people with those symptoms whether it's Covid or not.
