Garlic and coriander naan
sag aloo

then all the various things dh will have (he never wants the same thing twice)

Twospaniels · 14/10/2023 19:29

Poppadoms and pickles
then i have lamb (or chicken) rogon josh with a plain naan or pilau rice
husband has chicken tikka pathia with pilau rice or a chapati

StevieKicks · 14/10/2023 19:29

I get a chefs special (can't remember its name) which has minced lamb and chicken tikka. With pilau rice and an entire naan to myself.

MillieVonPinkle · 14/10/2023 19:30

I'm not sure how to spell it - a chicken mukhani (?...that's quite phonetic but I suspect wrong 😂). Plus egg fried rice, mushroom bhaji and poppadoms.

Sometimes also a chutney tray and a spinach and cheese thing, saag something.

dollymixedup · 14/10/2023 19:30

Did this last night - had enough for leftovers today:
Poppadoms
Mixed veg starter - bhaji, paneer pakora and veg samosa
Chicken tikka starter
Mushroom puri
Chana masala
Aloo pilau rice

Simonjt · 14/10/2023 19:31

Kadhi Pakora
Rajma masala or maybe Bhindi masala
Idli

That’s my exact order. 😛

CutiePatooties · 14/10/2023 19:34

Meat samosa
onion bhaji
vegetable pakora
chana masala
saag aloo
bombay aloo
biriyani (with vegetable curry)
Stuffed vegetable paratha

share it out and save leftovers for the following night. Plus we’re greedy pigs and Indian is my favourite takeaway!

spinspinsugars · 14/10/2023 19:34

@Robotalkingrubbish No way!!

Lamb Tikka.
Saag Aloo.
Garlic Naan.

I had an absolutely beautiful dish once on the recommendation of an old colleague and I can’t remember what it was anymore.

If I could? I’d have that.

RabbitsRock · 14/10/2023 19:37

Now I really want curry! I would probably have lamb tikka biryani with plain naan & maybe some poppadoms but not that bothered. DH’s choice varies although he likes a tikka masala. We might get some sides too.

Darkandstormynite · 14/10/2023 19:39

Prawn Puri
Chicken tikka jalfrazi
Chicken tikka masala
Vegetable rice
poppadoms
naan
Cucumber raitha

Indian food doesn't taste the same as when I was a kid. I remember the tikka masala wasn't as sweet and the Chicken Malaya was delicious, oh and the naan was lovely and crispy/fluffy too! is it just me or does anyone else remember Indian UK restaurant food tasting differently back in the 80s?

ThePoshUns · 14/10/2023 19:40

Poppadoms with chutnies
Chicken saag balti
Pilau rice
Garlic naan

Lightningrain · 14/10/2023 19:41

We usually share:

Poppadoms and pickle tray
Onion bhajjs
Chicken Jalfrezi
Lamb Bhuna
Pilau rice
Garlic naan

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 14/10/2023 19:52

Chicken Bhuna, Lamb Bhuna, Prawn Bhuna, Mushroom Rice, Bag of Chips, Keema Naan and nine Poppadoms 😁

Tisfortired · 14/10/2023 19:56

Oh I really want an Indian takeaway now. Our usual order is

Chicken Pathia (DP)
Chicken Tikka Massala (me - authentic I know)
Boiled rice to share
Chips to share (again, authentic)
2 x garlic and coriander naan

Then usually either chicken chaat, saag aloo, Bombay potatoes, pakoras or samosas.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2023 19:58

Last. night I had paneer dhansak with pumpkin, peshwari naan and onion bhajis. The bhajis are always my favourite part of a takeaway.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2023 19:59

I love a stuffed vegetable paratha but the place we ordered from last night doesn't do them. :(

Myhusbandearns150k · 14/10/2023 20:01

I feel like I’m in Gavin and Stacey reading this 😂

enjoy your feast!
