Last night I had my first proper Indian after 16 months of dairy free while breastfeeding. Had onion bhajis, chicken pasanda, cheese naan and pilau rice. Not necessarily what I’d normally order but all the dairy was amazing!

Always get:

Saag aloo
Tarka dahl
Mushroom rice
Garlic naan

I then have a lamb grame fry, chicken khadu or a rogon. DS always has a chicken bhuna or lamb korai.

I'm hungry reading this thread!

Speaking of years ago, we always started with Bombay Duck, which you can't get now.
Always liked to order loads of side dishes, our favourites being sag and mushroom bhajis, dahl and bindi. Lemon or pilau rice. garlic nan. All the pickles we can get.
DH likes meat from the tandoori and I like lamb or king prawns in a sauce, so our main courses vary.

A bunch of starters and sides. I never like one main mean anymore - I get fed up of the same taste. I never used to. So now it’s a bunch of different starters and it’s so bloody good. 🤤

RabbitsRock · 14/10/2023 20:41

Ooh yes chips too!

Gingerkittykat · 14/10/2023 20:53

Tandoori lamb chops
Tandoori paneer
Garlic naan.

Last time I had something called lamb handi which was pretty good, I had a garlic and cheese naan.

I also like saag paneer and tarka dal for sides.
