Does anyone ACTUALLY ever "curl up" with a book?

I've sat down with a book. I've lain (is that the right word?!) down with a book. I've even stood up with a book.

What I've never done is curled up with one. This seems like a complicated, uncomfortable and counter-productive manoeuvre to me.

Where are all the curler-uppers?

It depends where I am. I curl up on the living room sofa. But then I do that even if I'm not reading. But I sit up straight on the kitchen sofa because I don't feel as relaxed there and am permanently waiting for one of the DC to come in and ask for something. Sometimes I read at the kitchen table, which isn't really conducive to curling up😄

Same. I could never buy a sofa that didn;t have high side arsm so you can curl up in the corner of it. Sitting on a sofa with my feet on the floor makes me feel I'm about to be called for interview.

You’re entirely too rigid in your definition of what curling up looks like. There are lots of ways to curl up in comfortable positions.

Me! Curling up with a book is a great thing to do. I could always find time to do that, whether in a chair or in bed.
