Does anyone else’s family have a “birthday month”?

Off the back of a lovely pregnancy/ due date announcement in DH’s family.

In my family, out of the 9 of us, 6 of us were born in late September or October.

DH’s family have something similar in his bigger family, with 9 birthdays (and now one due date) every March.

Are we alone in our families weirdly grouping their conceptions together?

December for me too. Both parents DB DN and then 2 in laws in Jan ffs

ConfusedGin · 09/10/2023 18:33

6 in an 8 day period in November

There is only one month without birthdays in our family. As the years have passed, a fair number of those people have died, but there are still many birthdays close to each other. For a lot of those, close family members are born on consecutive days - parent and child etc. Except for me. I get to share my birthday with four other close family members!

October and January! Not good timing with Christmas!

thorneyislanddoris · 09/10/2023 22:25

June for us. DD, DB x2 DSIL all between 11 June and 24 June. Plus my anniversary and one DB anniversary.

Then DF and other DSIL in July.

A very expensive month!

April & May in my family!

Coffeeandcrocs · 09/10/2023 23:02

My DFil, my Ddad and my ex Dfil all have the same birthday...

My DF and DFil both have the same initials too

DD is the 26th of the month, her Ddad is the next day

My DM is the 24th of the month, my DGM is the next day

DH is Christmas day, DS1 is the 27th Dec and DS2 is the 7th Dec. 7th Dec is also my Dstep dad's birthday and 6th Dec is my Dstep mum's

Me and my cousins are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of October

PicturesOfDogs · 09/10/2023 23:03

Yep, August.

I think everyone must be in good moods in the build up to Christmas 😂

cardibach · 09/10/2023 23:06

November. My sister, both her girls, my cousin and my sister’s partner.

Namchange101 · 09/10/2023 23:10

Yes! March! I refused to TTC May-July for this very reason 🤣

nonof · 09/10/2023 23:20

July for us, 5 within days of one another. Almost hit 3 generations on the same date.

Asleepwhilstmeditating · 09/10/2023 23:23

Lots in late March in my family. 9 months on from the annual trades holiday. The rest are mainly late September/early October!

LlynTegid · 10/10/2023 06:43

Growing up there were four family birthdays over three generations in three weeks.

September is common for births....9 months after Christmas/ New Year!

Our wider family has a clutch of birthdays in January. Expensive time of year. Grrrr

Yes, well-known in Midwifery circles - they call it the 'Xmas bulge' !!

People can drink more than usual and then ooh-la-la...

Doormatnomore · 10/10/2023 06:57

My family (aunts cousins etc) they are in weird clumps where everyone shares a birthday thankfully none of the party age children but my husband has 3 silblings and the 4 birthdays are on 3 consecutive days which doesn’t take a genius to work out is ooo about 9 months after their dads birthday. You really can know too much about a person.

Kalodi · 10/10/2023 07:00

Late December (6) and January (7). We are adding to the January too with our expected baby due then 😅

randomusernam · 10/10/2023 07:02

DH 2 brothers and wives are all born in October

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 10/10/2023 08:50

Not just family, but I have 8 family/close friend birthdays in Jan/very early Feb.
