Does anyone else’s family have a “birthday month”?

Off the back of a lovely pregnancy/ due date announcement in DH’s family.

In my family, out of the 9 of us, 6 of us were born in late September or October.

DH’s family have something similar in his bigger family, with 9 birthdays (and now one due date) every March.

Are we alone in our families weirdly grouping their conceptions together?

October/November clump.

March/April clump.

My mum, MIL and FIL are all within 5 days of each other and all bloody awkward scorpios too

I get heartily sick of birthday cake during those periods.

Rebootnecessary · 09/10/2023 11:51

Yes! There are two days between mine and dd’s birthday and three days between ds and dh and all four are in the same month. In our wider family most birthdays are in April, May and June oh and that includes some of our closest friends too.

hettiethehare · 09/10/2023 11:56

Yes, October/ early Nov is birthday season for us. DD2, my Dad, my Mum, me and DD1 all have birthdays within 2 weeks of each other.

March April is pretty busy for us and then October.

MinnieMountain · 09/10/2023 12:33

November. DS managed to squeeze in by being born 14 days overdue 😁

Ostryga · 09/10/2023 12:40

We’re very evenly spread, but that does mean buying presents/birthday card and organising meals/parties nearly every bloody month!

Cocolapew · 09/10/2023 12:49

October, my mums birthday, my daughter's boyfriend and neices birthday. My grans birthday and Mums cousins birthday, my dad died on that day too, the next day is when my gran died. All in the same week.
Then a cousins birthday, nephew and niece birthday and another cousin birthday.

Danikm151 · 09/10/2023 12:51

June and March.

January

Late April - early May for us.
Between April 24th and May 8th we have my sister, nephew, my Dad, my husband, our son and my mother in law.
There also used to be my late Grandad and late father in law in that two or so weeks too.

MyOtherCarIsAPorsche · 09/10/2023 13:04

April and August. Don't have a month without at least one birthday.

Deborah54 · 09/10/2023 13:05

August, 8 and if I add in my friends it’s 12. It’s bloody expensive.

piscofrisco · 09/10/2023 13:18

December. Out of 14 immediate family members, 10 December birthdays (2 on bloody Boxing Day)

Maryandherlamb · 09/10/2023 13:32

My parents, my brother and I are spread over 3 consecutive months, so pretty close together. My partner, two kids and I are spaced pretty far apart. We have two months between each birthday which is quite nice.

Snazzysausage · 09/10/2023 13:36

6 in April,3 in August. Others scattered a bit more.

WaterfallOfDreams · 09/10/2023 13:36

My husband and his two siblings were all in the same month.

ThreeRingCircus · 09/10/2023 13:40

We have 7 birthdays in May in our family and 5 in February. The remaining few are spread out a bit more!

Lillygolightly · 09/10/2023 13:41

My sister and I are in the same month, just a few days apart.

DC 1: 2 weeks before my birthday
DC 3, 4 & 5: all share the same birthday which is also same birth month as me. (I will say that DC 4 & 5 are twins) consequently I am always skint for my own birthday after buying and sorting presents for the kids.

Finteq · 09/10/2023 14:14

For my family.
Me,husband and daughter October.

Other daughter in April

apric0t · 09/10/2023 17:53

Last week of July to second week of September, which after my DD finished reception earlier this year I realised our entire summer holiday is taken up by people's birthdays every weekend!

My birthday, DD, Dnephew, DH, BIL, Dsister, DM, DMIL

And if you counted an extra 3 weeks before mine it's DS and 3 weeks after all of them is DFIL

PatFussy · 09/10/2023 18:06

My mum dad and sibling are all in October. I have a child and 2 nieces and 1 nephew in February, June is 1 child and one niece and then I have a break until September when another 2 nieces and my mil have their birthdays. Me and dh are considerate and the only ones born in our months.

stayathomer · 09/10/2023 18:08

Yup, my friend’s house- most have birthdays in May except one which is April and I have another friend where she goes Mia in September as her whole family except her mum have birthdays!!!

Enko · 09/10/2023 18:09

Dh and I have 4 Children

We don't have a birthday month as such but we do Christmas all 6 birthdays and our anniversary within 112 days..

TerfTalking · 09/10/2023 18:10

April and May, literally all of us except one which is the beginning of July.

StaySpicy · 09/10/2023 18:19

December. 5 of 8 in that month.

My sibling once commented how I should have planned better, as our DS was the latest one born in December, but I'd miscarried our June birthday baby so it's not like we did it on purpose.
