It's 19.5 degrees C. in my house currently (East Mids). It feel it'scold although I don't fancy putting the heating on when that's quite a normal temp so holding off. What about you?

20 upstairs, about 20/19 downstairs. Heating not on yet.

ditalini · 07/10/2023 16:09

About 11°c outside (according to forecast so might be off - doesn't feel that cold out), 20°c inside. No heating on so far and planning to wait until the end of the month if possible.

There's lots of things I dislike about my flat, but the insulation is really good. Even in the depths of winter, when we've been away and are coming back to no heating it doesn't really get below 16.

MariePaperRoses · 07/10/2023 16:13

It's boiling hot here.

Augustus40 · 07/10/2023 16:17

Very mild here. Not put heating on at all.

chipsandpeas · 07/10/2023 16:19

was 14degrees here (central scotland) so heating has been put on for a bit

PicturesOfDogs · 07/10/2023 16:19

Mines at 25. Essex.

Fluffy40 · 07/10/2023 16:21

24 in Herts, we have a sunny conservatory !

PicturesOfDogs · 07/10/2023 16:21

That’s indoors, no heating. Weather says 24 outside. I’ve got patio doors open, no need for heating here atm

16 degrees inside the house. No heating.

Yep, us too. Might have to start putting in on in the mornings to help get the dc up for school. Always so much harder when the house is cold

duchiebun · 07/10/2023 16:22

It's 23 degrees outside so prob 26 inside so

ShutTheDoorBabe · 07/10/2023 16:34

TickleMyPickle · 07/10/2023 16:37

25 in my lounge, I’m in shorts and T-shirt. South east England with a south facing lounge and the back of it is all glass.

So warm today. 22 outside and 22 inside with doors and windows wide open. Loving the fresh air and sunshine and clothes drying out on the line.

Ssh! You're not allowed on here to say you're enjoying the weather. Some fun sponge will be on shortly to remind you we're in a climate emergency catastrophe don't you know.

Weefreetiffany · 07/10/2023 16:47

Managing to maintain 19 downstairs and 21 upstairs. It’s been much warmer today though. We live in a Victorian house so we’ve already put the heating on for an hour in the mornings as it’s easier (and recommended) to maintain its heat rather than waiting for it to cool down and then try to heat up again. If the walls get too cold and wet you end up spending the whole winter trying to play catch up while they absorb the heat but don’t quite heat up themselves. Happy for the hot weather as it clears away some of the seasonal
high humidity that challenges this process!

UndercoverCop · 07/10/2023 16:48

Just checked thermostat 26 inside with upstairs windows open. No heating on obviously! 24 outside here today, really sunny. South East

🤣

Oakbeam · 07/10/2023 17:05

22 inside today with the doors open. It was noticeably warmer outside when I went out.

The heating thermostat is set at 18 but we haven’t lit the boiler yet so there’s no way it will come on until we do.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 07/10/2023 17:14

Today here it’s warmer out than in - 18 indoors, 22 out! And that’s with no actual sun. Air is a lot warmer than it’s been for the past couple of days.
(outer SW London)
24 forecast for tomorrow.

HollieHobbie · 07/10/2023 17:20

19° indoors, all windows open. Been a glorious autumn day! No heating on yet, thankfully. I do tuck a throw around me late evening times though. Hoping to hold off the heating until November at least!

hennaoj · 07/10/2023 20:01

21 degrees inside in Wigan, have had windows open as too hot in the kitchen. We have cavity wall insulation and a dehumidifer running.

Girasoli · 07/10/2023 20:10

I'm not sure what the temperature is but I am warm in short sleeved pyjamas. I was in the playground at lunch time and some kids had been stripped down to their vests it was so hot. Definitely not heating weather yet on the south coast! (I've fretted about climate change pretty much all September this year!)

Nannyfannybanny · 13/10/2023 07:51

SE UK fairly near the sea,19c overnight. Windows open overnight, back door all day.

terraced · 13/10/2023 07:54

Around 16. House renovation going on so draughty. Cold 1850s house and part of the renovations are insulating it which will help. No heating on yet but we've a log burner.

User174085934 · 13/10/2023 08:46

19 at the moment, we have a mild wet, breezy day before it gets cold tomorrow
