It's 19.5 degrees C. in my house currently (East Mids). It feel it'scold although I don't fancy putting the heating on when that's quite a normal temp so holding off. What about you?

20.5c, had the heating on this morning. 14c and permarain outside.

Clemally · 05/10/2023 13:43

17c here and all doors and windows open, definitely not time for heating yet here

Precipice · 05/10/2023 13:46

Not sure as we don't have an inside thermometer. I'd estimate it around 20?

I've had it on maybe 4-5 times this last month, in the evenings. It's technically always set to on at the boiler and only regulated manually at the thermostat.

EfficientlyDecluttering · 05/10/2023 13:46

19 inside and out here and no, the thermostat is set at 16.

dudsville · 05/10/2023 13:46

I don't know, but I've had layers on and a hot water bottle, then took a bath as i was so cold. Nipped out on an errand and am overdressed and too warm!

AlexaCanYouHearMe · 05/10/2023 13:47

It's 20 C inside. 15 C outside.

No. I don't have the heating on.

marshmallowfinder · 05/10/2023 13:47

20.4. Wouldn't dream of putting heating on until dropped to 16 ish.

Thebelleofstmarys · 05/10/2023 13:48

19 degrees in kitchen with windows open . Pouring down on the west coast of Scotland . Putting the heating on for the odd hour when it's needed . Have built up a lot of credit to EDF over the summer and expecting that to cover extra use over the winter .

Raggeo · 05/10/2023 13:48

Such a north/south divide.
I'm in Scotland. Wet and windy day outside. Temperature in living room is between 15 and 16 degrees. Not long home from the nursery run and have all our waterproofs to dry so have put the heating on to get us up to 18/19. Old drafty house. Doesn't keep the heat at all.

HappyPurrrsday · 05/10/2023 13:49

Alexa tells me it’s 19.2 degrees in the living room and 15 outside.

no heating on tho I am sat under two blankets.

EducatingArti · 05/10/2023 13:50

It's about 20. I have put the heating on for a short while ( 30 mins to an hour) a couple of times this week but that has been to fully air/dry washing before I put it away. I do have a dehumidifier but washing often feels as if it might still be slightly damp.

griegwithhimandhim · 05/10/2023 14:07

20.9 inside our living room as I write, and the heating is off. We did put it on for 10 minutes yesterday evening just to take the edge off, but that's it.

CaveMum · 05/10/2023 14:13

21 degrees according to the wall thermostat (east anglia) and no heating on yet. At least another week of daytime highs in low 20s and night time lows in the teens here, so hopefully we can hold out for another week or two.

lemonraincoat · 05/10/2023 14:16

23-24 inside our house (London). Bedroom windows open all night. Don't need heating until it goes to 21-22 degrees.

User174085934 · 05/10/2023 14:16

19c, Northamptonshire, I will probably put the heating on this evening like I did yesterday, hopefully I won't need to tomorrow and the weekend as the temperature is expected to be higher, about 23c so the weatherman says

Nannyfannybanny · 05/10/2023 14:21

SE UK fairly near the sea. 23c indoors,19c outside. Bedroom window still open at night, Monday night 19c overnight..

PuttingDownRoots · 05/10/2023 14:27

Not sure but we have windows open in quite a few rooms!

mondaytosunday · 05/10/2023 14:30

19 outside and as I have my back door wide open probably the same in here (London). The heating won't come on til below 18 and I'm trying to hold out til November. I do have a lovely gas fire in the livingroom for chilly nights. Last night I closed my bedroom window for the first time in months! Warm weekend forecast.

cardibach · 05/10/2023 14:32

My heating is thermostat and timer controlled so I don’t put it on myself. It’s set to 18 though, so doesn’t click on until 17ish and it’s about 19 at the moment, so it’s not coming on. Back door is wide open today.

Trevforsure · 05/10/2023 14:34

It’s still 20.5 in our house and still warmish outside so not on yet. When we do have it on it’s only set to 18 so a while off yet I think

piscofrisco · 05/10/2023 14:34

18 degrees. We are SE and it's warmer outside but our house is always chilly. I'm dreading the colder weather, as I wfh for time being and I will freeze.

PenhillDarkMonarch · 05/10/2023 14:35

Eats Midlands. 21c with a couple of windows open. Heating won't come on until it gets below 19c.

EasternStandard · 05/10/2023 14:36

21.2 inside

Feels warm, windows open

ThoughtEvokingReflectiveFemale · 05/10/2023 14:36

18 degrees and I’ve had the patio doors open all day.

ColinRobinsonsFart · 05/10/2023 14:38

18.5 in the front room.

We put the heating on for 15 mins this morning to bleed the radiators and check all were heating up and not leaking. As soon as all checked - off again!

I am wearing a long sleeved t-shirt, a band t shirt over that and a thick jumper on top.
I am nice and warm and didn't need a coat when we just popped out to B&Q.

No plans to turn heating on properly yet
