It's 19.5 degrees C. in my house currently (East Mids). It feel it'scold although I don't fancy putting the heating on when that's quite a normal temp so holding off. What about you?

Do people have thermometers?
I dont. Why? Don't get it at all.

No heating as yet. Still sitting around with windows opens and t-shirts on. Very mild.

We have a Hive system

gotomomo · 05/10/2023 16:53

23 in my living room, modern well insulated house with triple glazing. Doubt heating will be needed for foreseeable future based on forecasts

gotomomo · 05/10/2023 16:55

It's warm enough outside to not need a jumper/jacket as long as you are moving so guessing around 18, was a bit too cool to sit for long outside in just short sleeves

GrouchyKiwi · 05/10/2023 16:55

Was just below 17C until the sun came out; now 17.6, apparently.

In Scotland, no intention to put the heating on for another week or two. It's meant to drop down to single figures overnight then, so will have to warm up in the mornings at the very least.

heymammy · 05/10/2023 16:58

Glasgow...was 16 degrees inside when I got home from work so heating is on, set to 18 as ds has a wee pal over to play and didn't want him to be cold!

Outside temp forecast is around 16 for the rest of this week and 12/13 degrees next week. I very much wish we were having a heatwave.

TheThingIsYeah · 05/10/2023 17:00

WFH in the garden summerhouse, it's a very pleasant 29⁰c in here today although in the mornings it's only about 12⁰c. Generally spring and autumn is ideal - if I can eek another 3 weeks out here I'll be happy. Summer can be intense though. It was 49⁰c in here last July....on the plus side no chance of my Reynaud's playing up!

Desecratedcoconut · 05/10/2023 17:05

I'm going to have to move further south, I'm green with envy.

SaracensMavericks · 05/10/2023 17:07

Currently 19.6 degrees. Heating not on yet and I'm still wearing a T shirt!

Parky04 · 05/10/2023 17:31

21.4. Sitting in a t shirt and shorts. Before heating goes on, we will layer up and use the lovely headed throw!

Simonjt · 05/10/2023 17:35

19.5, about 8ish outside, we’re in Stockholm

Sunny and dry, so it seems warmer outside.

Nannyfannybanny · 05/10/2023 17:36

We have solar panels, the app has a thermometer. We have greenhouses, tender plants, a fancy in out digital thermometer to check the outside temperature overnight,to decide when the plants need bringing in.

alpenguin · 05/10/2023 17:40

It’s warmer outside than it is inside my house 🥶

Bluecocoon · 05/10/2023 17:42

23 in the house, it’s been 21 outside today and getting hotter next week so no, no heating on yet (South East)

Sparkleshine21 · 05/10/2023 17:46

Near the lakes here. Very wet and a bit cold! Got soaked to the skin on the school run, popped the heating on for an hour and ran a hot bath when we got back. Now all in the lounge together in layers, socks and slippers on.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 05/10/2023 17:51

No idea what the temperature is, but it's less than 18, because I just switched the thermostat up to 18 (having left it dialled right down over the summer until now) and the heating kicked in. I normally have it set to 18 during the winter, but occasionally put it up to 19 if I'm feeling extra chilly!

Albless · 05/10/2023 17:55

14c inside today. I've not put the heating on, but have put dehumidifier on to see if that helps. I have put fleecy hoody on and am sitting in bed.

Scotland. It's wild and windy outside, but probably a bit warmer than it is in this house which is always freezing!

Comedycook · 05/10/2023 17:59

My temp is reading at 22 degrees. We're in london. Haven't put heating on yet. It's still very mild..haven't even contemplated putting the heating on yet. Currently in my bedroom with windows open.

Excitingnewusername · 05/10/2023 17:59

12 degrees outside, dark, hammering it down and windy. No idea inside, not wearing socks but I've mad myself a hot water bottle so would guess around 17 ish. Windows still regularly open in the daytime.

We've had the heating on for a few hours for a couple of evenings this week as the house had started to feel damp and cold, especially the bed. A dehumidifier would probably have done the job just as well, but we only have one and I didn't want to cart it up to the bedroom.

Lulu1919 · 05/10/2023 18:00

No idea.....but it's warm lol
No heating ....still in summer clothes here in Dorset

lionsleepstonight · 05/10/2023 18:16

16.5 here and we've got the back door open for the fresh air!

Nannyfannybanny · 07/10/2023 07:40

16c outside overnight in the SE UK,back door was open till I went to bed at 11..

DinosApple · 07/10/2023 07:56

Our bedroom is currently 20 degrees. The window is wide open and I've been too hot for weeks (possibly my age...) It's a total novelty as I normally feel the cold very badly.

Our heating won't go on until it is a) fixed and b) more like single figures outside.

RainCloudsInTheSky · 07/10/2023 15:41

So warm today. 22 outside and 22 inside with doors and windows wide open. Loving the fresh air and sunshine and clothes drying out on the line.
