Anyone have any clue what the subject of tonight’s Panorama is? Unusual it still hasn’t been announced?

All these programmes carry out investigations but nothing really seems to ever come of them. The only person to be jailed in the Epstein saga was Ghislaine Maxwell. Lots of settlements have been made and not one person on Epstein's list has faced any consequences.

Saville was shown for what he was but no-one else who enabled him or covered up his crimes had any comeback.

Russell Brand may or may not be charged with sex offences. The whole culture was rotten but will anything change?

The millionaire referred to in the Sunday Times article might be charged with something but all his friends who were also involved will no doubt not be named. Police actually sent copies of emails sent to them by one of his accusers to him with her name on it. No-one knows where she is now.

There are so many horrible exploitative men around but the big names have enough power and influence to ensure that they are never prosecuted. I'm afraid I'm very cynical when it comes to these big investigations. Yes it's good that they are exposed but there appear to be very few consequences for those involved.

BBC Website says tonight's programme is about "Panorama investigates allegations of exploitation and abuse at the top of one of the biggest fashion brands in the US"

UneasyMe · 02/10/2023 19:34

Abercrombie & Fitch

Overheater · 02/10/2023 20:13

Didn’t Netflix do that last year?

Is that why it's always so dark in their shops? Do you think it's a metaphor for their dark and shady dealings?

Just what I was thinking. Horrible places!

It disappeared quite quickly though didnt it

Oh, did it? I saw it on Twitter I think. Absolutely vile. Wierdly he was actually called a "philanthropist" in the article as if he could in any way both be a philanthropist and sex trafficer (or whatever the exact accusation was) at the same time.

Narwhalsh · 02/10/2023 20:26

It’s about the BBC headline on the website now

ThreeBearsPorridge · 02/10/2023 20:51

What channel is it on? I can’t see it!

Womencanlift · 02/10/2023 20:54

I have just watched it. Very sad to watch the stories of the three guys they speak to

TheGander · 02/10/2023 21:29

Seems like a similar MO to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, except with young men.

RoseandVioletCreams · 02/10/2023 21:51

Who is the times billionaire??

JenniferBooth · 02/10/2023 21:54

Is this the same company that wouldnt do plus size clothing because it would be bad for their image

TheLastScone · 02/10/2023 22:01

Today I decided to only take notice of all the good news in the world.
I made it to 10pm. Not bad going!

cocksstrideintheevening · 02/10/2023 22:07

I haven't seen it but they've already been called out years ago for racism and ableism so I'm not an inch surprised. Plus. I self respecting teen would wear it know so hopefully they'll just disappear.

Womencanlift · 02/10/2023 22:10

This has just reminded me of when Hollister (same company) opened in our city and I went with my cousin. Being still young our mums were with us and they refused to let my mum and aunt in. Well until my mum told them that they wouldn’t get a sale if they were not let in as being a young teenager our cash flows didn’t quite reach to even a t shirt in there.

Blankspace4 · 02/10/2023 23:05

Underwhelmed that this was the breaking story, without wanting to undermine the victims in this story. Outdated brand and ethos that just needs to disappear now.
