Food items you thought your kids might like but they hated.

So just served churros to my kids 6 and 2 and they found them disgusting 😂

Some Percy pig chocolate coins at Christmas, would not recommend.

Was there cinnamon on the churros?

Mine actively dislike any kind of fizzy drink apart from sparkling water.

Also peas, I thought all kids would at least eat peas.

I wish my youngest disliked fizzy drinks but if we do have any and her dads having some she'll want it

Chicken nuggets. Weirdo.

My 10yo dislikes chips, ketchup and jam (separately, not mixed together). In fact all forms of potato except mash.

Both mine didn’t like any form of potato until they were over 10 (yup even fries/chips). 16 year old just started to eat roast potatoes recently. Neither of them will touch mashed potato. I am Irish. 😂

Dairylea triangles. So I had to eat them all... shame.

One of mine doesn't like chip shop chips slathered in salt and vinegar. She can't be British.

Peanut butter. She loves those chocolate peanut butter cup sweets so I bought a jar of it to put on toast. She hated it so I guess I'll be stuck with peanut butter on toast for breakfast for a while.

Sausages. And any cheese that isn't extra, extra mature. Oh, and all types of cereal. Fucking weirdos 😂

Dolls! All I ever wanted growing up was a beautiful doll and my kids couldn’t care less 😭

Mature cheese - or any cheese tbh. Anything stronger than dairylea got a "no thanks".

Candyfloss. We didn't have many sweets etc when they were small. The candyfloss was supposed to be a big treat at the seaside. They both hated it and a couple of decades later still talk about the holiday "when you tried to force feed us candyfloss".

Those fruit roll up things that are like fruit jerky (tbh they were disgusting but I thought the kids would like them!)

Peanut butter, potatoes in any form (except crisps), peas, chocolate!!!

DS 17 refused to eat the chicken nuggets I had bought for his g/f (who would only eat nuggets)

To be fair he'd never had them as they used to contain milk

Also my potato-hating child loves raw chillies and raw leeks and onions, mustard, pickled anything, wasabi paste…

DD4 hates chips with a fiery passion.

DD2’s favourite food is bacon. Begs her grandparents to make her bacon as a snack.
