Thank you again everyone for your kind thoughts. @OldTinHat I did a similar thing in our hospital, couldn't believe I could get from one place to another in a matter of seconds, I'd walked miles! Wonder if it's the same one?

I’ve been up since 6am, youngest is an early riser. Nice coffee in peace whilst she is watching tv before the school madness starts 😃 x

Hope your mum is ok. En route to take dgs to school for their mum. Nearly did a silly thing myself yesterday, hopped on the bed to check the ceiling and nearly fell off as was so bouncy. Suddenly felt very old.

Been awake an hour, for some reason my body has decided sleep is only required for 4-5 hours each night. Hope your mum isn't too badly hurt

I hope your Mum is doing better and it wasn't too serious. I am almost 70 and not looking forward to more falls. I remember too well how it was with my Mom. sigh

My dh was in A&E last night too. Broken ankle. He was trying to get a spider out of our sons room, it was on the ceiling and he fell off the bed 🙈

Hope she is OK. Fil fell down four stros and broke several vertebrae and lots of ribs. Very scary

So sorry for all of you who've had accidents. Mum has broken vertebrae, ribs, hip and wrists. Still remarkably chirpy at the moment though. Thank you all for being there

Oh your poor mum! Any one of those things would've been enough. Did your dad hear her? It must've given him a terrible fright as well. Did they phone you in the middle of the night?

@determinedtomakethiswork yes the noise woke my dad up and he was terrified. He phoned the ambulance who said it would be several hours before they arrived. He then phoned me and I went straight there (half an hour away) by which time a paramedic had arrived, followed by an ambulance about an hour later. They were all marvellous, as always.

@Memberofstaff your poor mum 😢. Hope they’re managing the pain for her and her good mood stays. What a shock and trauma for all of you x

How awful for your poor Mum, what a horrible shock for her. I hope they get a good treatment plan in place for her, so she can start to recover as soon as possible.
