How much do you pay for music lessons?

My husband is a music teacher who provides private tuition in piano and guitar. He's busy and his 'after school' slots are filling up. This is his sole form of income. We're having an argument/discussion about his rates. I think he should put them up, especially as he is now busy. He charges £17 for half hour, £28 for an hour. Pupils come to a music studio at our house. We're not in London, but live in a market town, semi-affluent in the midlands. Thanks!

£25/ individual half hour lesson through school music service.
It's not cheap, but it's very convenient.

That's for piano, classical guitar, drum kit and voice. There are variations on lesson lengths and whether you share them, but the pro rata cost is the same. Minority instruments are less (bassoon, French horn, tuba, viola, cello or double bass).
