We've been looking at 3 nights in Rome, but its pushing £2000 for three of us (2 adults and a 16yo DC) so we haven't committed yet.

10 days in Normandy. £500 including ferry

4 nights at Butlins £850

Isn’t it rather late in the season for beach holidays? I would be concerned about being in a beach resort with little to do in iffy weather. We risked it with Spain 2 years ago but booked v late due to covid rules so were able to go somewhere which was warm and sunny - Greece was grey and wet that week.

Due to the above going on a cool city break

NYC for 10 days. 2 adults, 2 kids. Flights £1500 (used a companion ticket) and hotel £2000ish.

The pool in Spain when we were there was unusable as too cold as they don’t heat the pools as it’s so hot in summer.
