Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I have the washer on for the towels & am hoping the weather improves to get them on the line!

I'm planning a very slow day today. Think it'll be spent mostly crafting & I might have a nap - or head back to bed for an hour after my cuppa. I've almost finished a second set of Goldilocks & the Three Bears peg dolls, and some spare bears so they'll be my first job.

I need to iron dd2's school shirts, and want to upload a few things to Vinted too.

The girls are heading to Lidl for a few things we need for the coming week. Dd1 has some more college work to get on with, and dd2 has finished all her homework so will probably spend the day mooching once they've been to Lidl.

Roast chicken for tea with all the trimmings. I suspect I'm going to be asked for a cheese sauce, or cauli cheese, with tea - they bought a big milk yesterday instead of the skinny ones we usually buy 🤔

Tonight will be early showers all round, a bit of beading for me - hopefully I'll finish the section of my garter I'm currently working on 🤞, and early nights all round 💤

Morning @lucysmam having a quiet Sunday here. I was supposed to visit my Dad and go out for lunch with him, but he has flu and has advised me not to visit in case I catch it too. As it happens, I've had a busy few weekends, so I'm just as glad to stay home. I had a relaxing morning and now I'm blitzing the house.

When DD gets home from work, we'll get a take away and watch last night's episode of Strictly.

Your peg dolls sound very cute. You'll have to put up a photo when you've finished them.

Evening all, very late to the thread here but have loved reading about all of your days.

I was up early as DH and DS2 had football training and I was doing the teas and coffees in the snack bar at the football club this morning. The wet weather certainly helps with the coffee and hot chocolate sales!

Then nipped to Tesco to pick up some bits for lunch. DH and DS2 watched the football this afternoon and I watched DS1 gaming. I had a lovely nap as well, which was very much needed as I've got the start of a cold/sore throat. I'm hoping this weekend is as bad as it gets, as I've got a busy week at work next week and could do without feeling rough.

Just about to make tacos for tea, then DS2 will have a bath, DH and I will play with the dog and I might paint my nails ready for the week ahead. I really need to get an early night as well!

Oh bad luck @Freepublictransport . I have also tested positive (for the first time ever) and missed a much anticipated night out with friends last night 😩. I don’t even feel that ill, but my food tasted odd on Friday night so thought I’d better check because of the planned night out and wouldn’t you just know it 🙄.

Consequently today has been very quiet with me pretty much confined to my bedroom and the children coming in and waving at me from a distance! Having chicken goujons and chips for dinner, children are watching Snow Dogs and I’m doom scrolling in my prison. Final episode of The Woman In The Wall tonight which I’m really looking forward to.

Got over feeling sorry for myself and figure I will be negative by the end of the week so have booked myself in a spa hotel 4 hours away by train, with breakfast and a balcony overlooking the river. Need to hit the savings for this - but I deserve it, don’t I?
I have never visited this city before so I’ve booked a boat tour and a walking tour. I’m now searching for places to eat.
