I made myself burger and chips and just started watching normal people. What's everyone else up to?

At the pub waiting for a band having had burger and chips. Life is good

That's a good shout. Played black jack, gin rummy and sevens with my older DC last night to end my birthday. Hardly ever play cards. Really enjoyed it. We tend to only play card games in the winter months too.

More relaxed evening for me tonight - reading Val McDermid's 1989.

Steak, gratin and a glass of red wine while we watch New Zealand taskmaster

Mostly relaxing as I'm working tomorrow and Dh will be stacking a newly delivered full tipper load of logs for the winter

In bed already with a lemsip watching Gossip Girl. Very happy to be here except for the fact I feel so poorly!

Chilling out after a tough week at work. Had chicken, ham & leek pie for dinner. About to knit while watching an episode of a sci-fi series with dh and ds. Missing dd, who we dropped off to start her first term at university last weekend. It's so weird without her.

M & S Cosmo can, Netflix and painting my nails. I find doing my nails very relaxing.

I love reading what other people are up to

Just finished bottling up honey from my bees and making spicy pear & apple chutney, whilst trying to watch the tail end of 'Gardener's World'.

Prior to that I cleaned out the chickens, potted up some young plants, mowed the lawns and finished just before dark.

Now for a shower and a bite to eat!

Tesco shop just been so need to put that away. DC3 is asleep. DC2 (age 9) has had an epic tantrum for the last hour so my head is banging - she's clearly knackered from school. DC1 is watching Sherlock with DH. There's a gin and tonic waiting for me once DC2 is calm and asleep. Hopefully soon, because I'm very nearly running out of tether.

Feeling rough so having an early night. My mastiff has clambered up and is snoring on DHs side of the bed - it's OK til he farts!

Cooked a Moroccan meal and watched 'Casablanca' on DVD.

I am currently in a Travelodge 4 hours away from home. We are up here as our daughter had her graduation ceremony today. I am so proud of her. My other daughter who decided to housesit and look after our pets for us (we could only get two tickets) it is her birthday today! She watched it on the live stream. Travelling back home tomorrow.

I’m eating apple strudel and salted caramel ice cream, then I’m going to get my hot water bottle and go to bed. I very much recommend this as a way of spending Friday evening.

I’m in bed. In the spare room. Just everso slightly fed up with my lot. You know when you’ve tried your hardest to help and run around all day trying to make a difference and are then told they’d rather you hadn’t. Rant over.

Going to sleep now in this super comfy bed and tomorrow I’m going to focus on me and some stuff that always slip by the wayside because I put others in front of me.

Update, band now on, time to switch to gin!

I’ve just had a shower and now I’m laying down knackered with wet hair contemplating whether to have a little drink of something and watch Early Doors repeats. Why is cleaning the bathroom so completely exhausting? I feel like I’ve done a full body work out.

In bed watching the football in a premier inn with my son as we are going to a university open day tomorrow.

I had Cullen Skink for dinner and am now I'm drinking too much wine and watching telly. Just watched Celebrity Race Around the World, and The Power of Parker. Would love to be doing something more exciting but am recovering from a rotten week at work, including having to fire a member of my team. More wine is incoming.

I've started painting some more peg dolls for a display at work, been in the shower, and am now wondering whether to pick up my beading project or not. Ideally I'd like to finish this section over the weekend 🤔

Dd2 is mooching about feeling sorry for herself with period pains and a headache. I'm going to suggest bed time when I go - usually I'd leave her to it on a weekend night.

Dd1 has decided she cba to shower; I'm not sure what she's actually doing but could hazard a guess that she's scrolling tiktok!

It was fish suppers and a Disney binge for us tonight (two grown adults with no children 😂)

Am home alone without any commitments tomorrow. Just me and the dog…am having Bacardi and coke ,cooking chicken for supper and then bedtime!

My little boy went to sleep at 6.30 and we had a Friday night treat of an amazing wood fired pizza. It's a local mobile business so only around once or twice a month but its the best pizza I've had. I ate the whole thing in about 5 mins!

Watched a bit of Gavin and Stacey, made us feel cosy as we're Welsh but live in England now.

Had a bath, about to watch some more TV while husband has his bath.

We had a takeaway and we are watching The Killing Kind. It's very good!

Toddler went to bed at 7. Baby is fast asleep next to me in bed. Watching Wednesdays Corrie on iPad, going to sleep v soon. Long week!

Ate homemade watercress soup, 2 poached eggs on toast, took dog for a short walk, had a soak in the bath, did my nails, selected my outfit for tomorrow afternoons get together with good friends. We're having afternoon tea and cocktails, organised by 1 of the friends in honour of my birthday which was 4 days ago. Will have a glass or 2 of wine then an earlyish night before hairdressers appointment at 10 am.
