I can't get back to sleep and worrying over my temperature
Guessing a few people might be awake with the heat

Oh fun! I've taken a med (injection) that gives me a fever, brilliant timing to have to do it
Just done my temp and it's 39.8c

Can you take meds to bring fever down?

In Canada here so only early.

I took paracetamol earlier so waiting 15 mins until I can take some more at 5am...

paracetamol or ibuprofen to bring down the fever.

I'm awake in agony : had major surgery on Friday and have just taken more medication.

My one year old has been on/off awake for 3 hours now. Asleep on me, awake as soon as I put her down. Feels like she is burning up but temp says she is fine. Got fan on, obviously I know it's extremely hot! Have done calpol and teething gel now....throwing everything at it! Luckily my husband has done 2 shifts, this is my second 😩 I really hope she isn't getting ill, she's just started nursery 🥴

Been up since 3.03am.

My 3 year old woke me as he has a sore throat. He went back to sleep within 30 mins but then my 18 month old woke and has been up ever since 😫 hoping he goes back to sleep soon so I can get at least another hour before the 3 year old is up for the day!

Hello! I woke up a couple.of hours ago. I've got sinusitis. My boys will be waking up at 6ish and husband is away camping. Ugh.

Sinusitis is horrid. Lots of warm tissue in a cup with olbas oil on and cover your mouth and breathe in . Really helps the sinuses .

Yeah my stupid medication I have to inject weekly
Some weeks are good, this is a bad one. I do it on the weekend so I can make sure I'm not too sick for work

Hello! I'm on my break in work. Started at 7pm last night and only just got a chance to sit down. Have a patient royally kicking off throwing fire extinguishers at staff and trying to blow up the hospital putting his lighter under the oxygen ports.

Police have been called and it's under control ish now so I'm getting something to eat. Absolutely starving

The 4 year old and I am up. We had the ambulance here from 3am - 4:45am as DD has croup. Now have to stay awake to monitor her and await call from out of hours doctor

@WtfHormones I find hot drinks 🥵 and chewing helps- either gum or piece of sourdough. Something to really work the jaws and hopefully shift that pain!

Oh no, what a pain, especially on the weekend ( well any night really).
Are you feeling any better now? Lots of fluids too may help. I need to take my own advice as I am barely drinking any water 🙄

I’m up too! I got woken by the rain at 3, and not I can’t sleep as my partner is snoring away next to me. Toddler is going to wake up in an hour, and I think my partner is going to claim to be ill today. As last night there was a lot of ‘oh i feel tired/not great’. When I’m I’ll I have to crack on and look after the toddler, when they’re ill it’s a catastrophe and they need to be left alone all day.

Ds is with his dgm at the moment and getting dropped off back at mine around 11am. I plan on getting an hour or so sleep before he's home and then vegetating on the couch until bedtime.

This is dangerously understaffed night shift number three and I'm fit for very little else

I can’t really move without yelping or crying so it’s another day in bed for me except I have been told to get up and try to do little walks. That in itself feels a mammoth task and DH taking me to the loo and getting me out of bed is a mission.
I will try to sleep more today and scroll through Netflix and see if there’s anything that is good that I haven’t seen yet. These compression stockings are really pissing me off in this heat though 😬

I woke up a bit ago. Had a dream and now I am awake worrying about various things to do with DS connected with him going to university on Friday.

What a nightmare!
I remember as a teenager visiting a 'friend' in hospital who wanted us to give her a lighter so she could have a cigarette right by her oxygen mask.

We refused- but she was aggressive.

Poor staff.
