I’m currently eating toasted crumpets and my all time favourite peanut butter (meridian dark roast fyi) and it is bringing me SO much joy.

I can’t buy either where I am so when some friend from the U.K. visit they stock me up!

Fresh local crab and cucumber sandwiches

LaBelleSauvage123 · 09/09/2023 22:48

I made summer vegetable tostadas today - homemade tortilla spread with pea guacamole and topped with veg from the garden, yoghurt, coriander and lime. Sounds virtuous but was delicious! However, eating a Biscoff ice cream afterwards made me equally happy.

Salted Caramel Magnum which I had after my goats cheese, ricotta, spinach and artichoke pizza made in the pizza oven tonight.
Yesterday I had creamy Italian gorgonzola on french bread - delish.

I'm at a work conference so got a deliveroo of some ramen and tempura prawns. Was a lovely tonkotsu broth. Amazing!

LozzaChops101 · 10/09/2023 00:18

Mujaddara with an unseemly quantity of crispy onions on top 😍

Astridastro · 10/09/2023 00:19

I bought the DC and myself huge cookies from Aldi you put in the oven and heat up until the chocolate melts tonight. They had theirs with squirty cream and sprinkles and loved them, very tasty, looked like a restaurant dessert without the £7-8 price tag 🤣

I had lamb chops but with them I had parsnip and potato mashed together with cream,

I sometimes mash garlic in too but not yesterday.

I have fish marinating in yoghurt and spices to make kebabs later.

@Jellykat you cannot beat a good crab sandwich!!

Oldraver · 10/09/2023 09:58

I've just had a lovely croissant with a mini cherry jam. I love cherry jam but ended up with the last two lots going mouldy on top. I didn't know you were supposed to eat jam within three weeks... bloody ridiculous

Oh and a prawn sandwich. Lovely best prawns fro Morrisons. Last prawns I bought from Asda were off so I didn't have any for a while

Jellykat · 10/09/2023 19:59

Anything that's been cooked when I walk into the kitchen makes me happy.

I feel sorry for myself.

ladygindiva · 18/09/2023 21:31

At the weekend I made Nutella muffins with my kids. Nuff said.

Hackney Gelato Pistachio, Almond & Lemon. Sounds a bit mad but it's like a whole new flavour.

OMG me too. Had it last week and its incredible. I'm a bit of a gelato fiend and this stiff is something else. Just perfect. My new favourite thing.

Tintackedsea · 18/09/2023 22:26

Pea and mushroom masala omelette. With cheese.

My hens give me amazing eggs and this omelette is my favourite thing to have. Peas, mushrooms, spring onions, chilli, cherry tomatoes fried with a bit of curry powder. Eggs. Cheese. Coriander leaf if you're feeling fancy.
