What was the last thing you ate that made you happy?

I’m currently eating toasted crumpets and my all time favourite peanut butter (meridian dark roast fyi) and it is bringing me SO much joy.

I can’t buy either where I am so when some friend from the U.K. visit they stock me up!

Home made lemon ricotta cake at DD's yesterday. It was amazing, all syrupy and delicious. First time I've been well enough to visit family in ages and DD had made a really special afternoon tea.

Can I do last thing I drank? I am in a part of Greece which was heavily hit by slugs this week, I live here, not on holiday, but I have a disability and it has been a week from hell. I’ve gotten through it, but there was a coffee shop open today, my favorite one actually, and they gave me a cappuccino on the house. I could have jumped in and gone for a swim… Our Internet still doesn’t work very well, on this particular coffee shop was very badly flooded, I don’t know how they got back on their feet so quickly, but I was so happy. I usually would have scrolled some websites, or read a book though, and I just can’t concentrate on doing those things at the moment

I imagine your text autocorrected from ‘storms’ but I now have visions of giant, marauding slugs taking over the Greek islands 😂

I am obsessed with tescos marinated anchovies and also the anchovies wrapped around olives.

They are just beautiful - salty, meaty, juicy. Drool.

It made me happy but also cross - a very small portion of chocolate and caramel ice cream. I was cross because DH had eaten the majority of the tub .

I made a mushroom quiche late last night so the kitchen would cool down overnight, and a) it worked perfectly and b) it was fucking delicious eaten for dinner tonight without having to turn the oven on. V happy!

Fresh grilled squid, with a rocket and red onion salad, perfect frites. It was at a beach restaurant with the breeze and waves crashing.

Freshly fried cinnamon sugar donuts with a dulce de leche sauce. Dipped in espresso first. They were incredible.

I just ate 4 mini Colin Caterpillar cakes 😳. I'd like to say I regret nothing but I should have stopped at 3. So moreish but very heavy

I was in Greece this time last week and ds and I shared a seafood platter of calamari, garlic prawns, whole sea bream, octopus and mussels with Greek salad and pitta- yum 😋
