What was the last thing you ate that made you happy?

I’m currently eating toasted crumpets and my all time favourite peanut butter (meridian dark roast fyi) and it is bringing me SO much joy.

I can’t buy either where I am so when some friend from the U.K. visit they stock me up!

I found a jar of fresh pickles at the supermarket and they are so good I've been eating them right out the jar. Yummy!

Mmm OP if you like good peanut butter (mine is mani life deep roast) you may like what I made today - date bark. Saw it on a TikTok video. Medjool dates, cut in half and made into a base layer, then spread a layer of peanut butter, sprinkle peanuts, then melted dark choc over it all and a sprinkle of sea salt. Absolutely delicious, vaguely healthy but tastes like caramel.

Home made lemon curd about two weeks ago. I used it to make an assembled Lemon meringue pie (cooked biscuity case, meringue cooked as the oven cooled down and lemon curd).
I enjoy most things but that was special.

Home made lemon curd is the absolute business , just made my mouth water.

Had the most delicious full Scottish breakfast recently at a hotel on Skye, I’m usually fussy about sausages /haggis but these were locally sourced and so tasty. Potato scones too. And eggs. I cannot stop thinking about it all .

We went to a local food festival today. I had the most amazing loaded fries
with Brie, blue cheese, bacon and pickles.

we also has some duck gyozas, Dutch pancakes and some local gin 😊

I was really craving a fish finger sandwich the other day, had the FFs but only seedy bread. Had to defer until the next day when I could get good old sliced white bread, because it's a bit wrong on anything else.

Ohh mine is 💯 a dish I had on one of our first dates with my partner about 2 years ago. Crab risotto it was outstanding and although we've tried to make it at home we sadly can't replicate that creamy magical taste!
