You have to let it cool whilst propped upright so it doesn't steam on the plate and go soggy.

Also agree re cold burnt toast. Add marmalade for extra deliciousness.

The mil/dil relationship can be tricky-but the "blame"(can't think of a better word) is almost always 50/50.
