James Arthur is amazingly talented and the best thing to come out of the X Factor. He is criminally underrated.

Agree on the cold toast with thick butter. Someone on MN called it hotel toast and I loved that.

You have to let it cool whilst propped upright so it doesn't steam on the plate and go soggy.

If you're hungover it needs to be properly burnt. Left to go cold. Enough butter to lay a brick wall and then marmite on top 👌🏻

Jaffa cakes are not a treat, but a combination of three very disappointing components. People always act like they're doing you a favour when they put them out, too, especially at work meetings. I will die on this hill.

The mil/dil relationship can be tricky-but the "blame"(can't think of a better word) is almost always 50/50.

I had a not great relationship with my late MIL and I definitely agree. With the passage of time and more maturity on my part I can see that yes, she could be a huge PITA, but I could have been more understanding.

I never liked the late Queen or her mother ... or Miriam Margolyes. I know they are revered as national treasures but I found/find them all a little off putting.

I don’t mind the queen, but have never got the Miriam Margolyes love! Not having a filter isn’t an adorable character trait, it’s just rude.

This is true, nowadays. DM's used to be great before manufacture was largely moved to China.

If you want DM's look at Solovair, a UK company. They used to make DMs and still make lots of shoes on DM lasts. They are expensive but sooooo good and excellent quality.

I agree Miriam Margolyes is awful. Just because she's a lesbian too she gets away with saying things that from anyone else would just be totally socially unacceptable. I remember her on Graham Norton telling a story about having an intimate examination and telling the poor woman tasked with doing it that she was enjoying it. WTF?

Vegans are far too pandered to.

Menus used to say which foods were gluten free (not a lifestyle choice for the majority), now they always seem to say which choices are Vegan instead so I have to use a special app to see what I can eat.
