Dd is turning 16, I would like to take her somewhere memorable.

I looked at ivy Asia and that's fully booked.

There are a couple of Ivy Asias- which one did you try?

@thebiggestsaleever.. That heddon street place looks extremely promising! She would adore that japanese style immersion and... One of her presents will be "memoirs of a geisha" however, is it too fast food style?
Too canteen like?

Or is it a proper restaurant?

The Hendon street place is a proper table service restaurant but does have a very casual vibe inside. It’s designed around the theme of yokocho (the little Japanese back alleys packed with tiny bars and restaurants). It’s not canteen style but does have a back alley feel.

This place is rather quirky. We've enjoyed it several times when we've been to London.

Somewhere in between I’d say. It’s not formal but food is great, good service and looks great on Instagram 😉. I took my nephews there post a level results and loved it.

The George on Great Portland Street is a great pub option. thegeorge.london/#aboutanchor

Food is incredible and the dining room upstairs is really pretty

The architecture of Brasserie Zedel is amazing, plus it’s central and not too expensive.

@Takoneko @thebiggestsaleever

I'm strongly leaning towards it for sheer unusual novelty factor and perhaps take her to yachuta (sp) to choose patisserie after?

Ivy Asia would have been perfect

My DD would love that - sounds like a great day. Heddon Street was really lively as well when we went and great atmosphere .

Tattu - not been to London but have been to other cities . Very instagram and the food was lovely .

SusiePevensie · 30/08/2023 09:59

These are very much pubs not restaurants (though they do food).

Salisbury, Green Lanes
Lamb, Conduit Street.

Both beautiful and atmospheric.

RamblingRosieLee · 30/08/2023 13:52

Susie they look lovley.

I've booked the Japanese one.

I definitely think she will enjoy the novelty of it.

Tattu also looks absolutely beautiful but the prices are a little much.
Somewhere to consider when she's 18!

Thanks everyone.

I think pre meal I will try and take her into am yard hotel.
