Series for 12 year old girl

We are really struggling to agree on television for my 12 year old at the moment. She is definitely less into fantasy and more into romance and human interest type stories. We have happily watched Heartstopper together. Even the new Wonder Years on Disney. She has started to watch Never have I ever but I just found it too grown-up, so much sex talk. I have no problem with her watching programmes that mention sex but it’s done really casually and feel like more suitable from about 15. She has asked to watch the Summer I turned Pretty which I’m reluctant to allow because that (from reviews) appears too grown-up as well. She used to love TNS about a year ago but all of a sudden she wants a lot more and I’m trying to find a compromise. Mallory towers and the Jaqueline Wilson programmes all provoke an eye-roll when suggested.

its such a tricky age as everything feels either too babyish or too grown-up.

Anyone recommendations would be really appreciated.

My DD12 is currently watching "Only Murders in the Building" on Disney. She loves Young Sheldon, Modern Family and The Simpsons.

Ooh yes, I second Only Murders.

Stranger Things is quite scary in the 4th series, as an adult who loves horror I found myself jumping and covering my eyes.

Dance academy, about a ballet school in Australia, and h20 which is about a trio of Austrialian girls who get turned into mermaids

My dd12 loves Modern Family and also liked Anne with an E when we had Netflix.

Babysitters club on Netflix - such a great series.
What about comedies like Modern Family, Ghosts, Outnumbered, Taskmaster (I think they do a bleeped version now)

@Autumnismyfavourite

I remember that Spike/Buffy scene being SO odd. I think it was probably edited heavily for BBC2 when I first watched it!! But it's literally just one short, very ungraphic scene and I think you can tell that everyone involved was confused by it's inclusion as the whole show seemed to forget it ever happened! I think they just needed a 'turning point' for Spike. No spoilers!

I get you about the Veronica Mars theming - the first season is about the murder of her best friend and the second is definitely darker (is that when she goes to college?) with the rapist storyline. But it's definitely one for slightly older teen gals - it's such a GOOD show.

Buffy the vampire slayer is on Disney+ now. I know it’s old, but she might like it.

Sorry, just noticed Buffy has already been suggested.

Buffy is excellent, not too scary and the adult themes are handled a lot as metaphors so anything she's too young to understand will go over her head. I was 7 when it came out and watched it then but took different things from it as I rewatehed as I got older.
Other ones I enjoyed as a young teen were
The OC
One tree hill
Gilmore girls
Vampire diaries
Hart of Dixie
Nashville
