About fucking time!

InterFactual · 26/08/2023 19:06

Now she should pay back every penny of her salary while she was absent from parliament.

SirChenjins · 26/08/2023 19:07

Quite right too - awful woman who is completely without shame.

AnnPerkins · 26/08/2023 19:15

I'm in Mid Beds. It's gonna go mad round here, it's looking like a three way marginal.

Piggywaspushed · 26/08/2023 19:18

Me too. Waves!

Just don't know what to do....

Sunsnet · 26/08/2023 19:28

Good. Can I have her job now? I'm willing to do fuck all for decent money.

Happygirl79 · 26/08/2023 19:30

I hope her constituents vote tactically to ensure the tories don't get back in.

Lilithlogic · 26/08/2023 19:30

I'm rubbish at politics, does this mean there will be another by-election?

Yes, she's resigned as MP so they'll elect a new one.

Yes, she's resigned as MP so they'll elect a new one.

That will definitely be one to watch.

Lillianofthevalley · 26/08/2023 19:35

But she has a huge majority......

That is because, unfortunately, Mid Beds is stuffed with dyed-in-the-wool Tories. It has nothing to do with her whatever. They didn't vote for La Dorries. They would have voted in a privy if it had a blue rosette pinned to it. You should have seen the dodgy chinless wonder we had before her.

We want to. Unfortunately, Labour and the Lib Dems are both campaigning like crazy, and they are really running the risk of splitting the vote too far.

Sodding Blue Brigade will most likely get in again.

PinkCherryBlossoms · 26/08/2023 19:45

Her resignation tantrum letter is a joy to behold.

She's been largely absent from her constituency for at least the last decade.

She really couldn't have been more fucking useless as an MP if she'd tried.

Given Labour came second last time, I'm not sure that's quite as true as all that. It's really quite a mixed constituency.

Actually getting fed up of Lib Dem leaflets telling me Labour can't win and claiming all the 'local points'.

Piggywaspushed · 26/08/2023 20:26

So?

No sure what's wrong with Greenpeace.

O, I forgot the Tories are now anti environment.

Piggywaspushed · 26/08/2023 20:29

Perhaps Strathern would have made more effort than Dorries to oppose the god awful blot on the landscape that is the Covanta Incinerator then. And he might be interested in the greenbelt building that is going on, all the light pollution , air pollution , traffic ,and noise pollution that blights Mid Beds.

Kier Starmer just announced Labour is all for green belt building.

So?

It's highly amusing that your guy likes dressing up as a zombie in public.

About frigging time!

Why?

PinkCherryBlossoms · 26/08/2023 20:36

Whoever her constituents pick to replace her, I'm pleased for them. They deserve an MP who's actually willing to sit as a member of the legislature.

Unlike actual zombie MP, Nadine Dorries, or her Zombie PM Rishi Sunak?

I couldn't give a stuff. I approve of Greenpeace.

He's not' my guy' Clav but it rather warms me to him.
