She is said to have been an excellent constituency MP. Not sure how true that is. But if it is true, her massive majority may have been to some extent personal rather than party. Which will make for an interesting by-election....

Liz truss is "said to have been" an excellent Prime Minister.

Don't make it so.

I suspect many people who voted for her couldn't pick her out of a line up.

@CurlewKate she was crap. Never seen for years. Her majority rose only because UKIP dropped out and transferred their vote to Tory - seen locally and nationally all over. She was absolutely diabolical as an MP. Only time she did a surgery herself in our town she came with COVID symptoms!!!! And spread it as she was positive.

I am so humble. People are lying if they say I didn't work hard for my constituents. My constituents love me & the Tories. I achieved so much.

You big posh phoney you scared away the bankers. Even though your lot begged me to stay, I'm not staying. The deep evil state is real and you know it. Your buddies doing character assassinations on me meant I had to hide in my home from random weirdos. You achieved nothing. I don't like what you're doing. You should cut taxes. Such a terrible leader you are, that not only are you not Thatcher, but you make Keir Starmer look interesting and credible! You are a fake Tory.

Might have crossed posted as I have not read entire thread, but has she not timed it to get the double payment of outgoing MPs too? And she paid her daughter as personal secretary…. makes me furious. Corrupt and financially out to maximise what she can get.
Not to mention idle. 😡

These are Tories. They have only just notice the country is in a state. Apparently something really shit has happened these past 13 years. However they are determined to find out what went wrong and put it right.

There’s that reference to a ‘public frenzy’ again…. Where!?! I’m not proud of it but I would’ve enjoyed that in the spirit of schadenfreude so am pretty confident I would’ve picked up on it. She’s really trying to martyr herself here.

as an aside, just to underline the point, can we all now accept that the ‘independent inquiry’ she was running into why she was denied a peerage was actually research for her heavily plugged book?

If she’s struggling for a title may I suggest ‘wwaaaaahhh’ with a picture of her footprint from stomping as the cover art?
