What’s Happening In Your House?

Anyone up to much? I’m just trying to cool down as I feel permanently hot ( thanks menopause!) Arranging an HRT review as have been struggling for a while. DH is about to clean his bike & I might pop to the shop for some wine. We were going to have chocolate chilli for tea but DH will make it tomorrow so I’m doing Cathedral City lasagne & peas instead. Probably watch Greys Anatomy later as we both really enjoy it & there aren’t many programmes that appeal to both of us. DD14 is lurking in her room as per. She had Macci D’s earlier with her girlfriend. I watched some Harry Enfield videos yesterday of Kevin The Teenager & my goodness he had it spot on! We secretly call DD “ Kevina” 🤣

I'm flaked out on the sofa after spending the day decorating. Will have to move my old saggy behind to take the dog out for his evening walk so better not get too comfortable.
Dd in her room getting ready to go out (again)
Ds just back from golf so cleaning his clubs (oddly enough never thinks to clean his room..)
Dh on a weekend camping in Scotland with his mates
Wine and Netflix when I get back from walkies

I’m sitting on the sofa with 9yo DS watching Lego Star Wars. Counting down the time until I can read him his bedtime story and watch ‘I, Claudius’.
DH is at the local beer festival with MIL and BIL.

I've just cleaned the kitchen after dinner, now on the sofa writing a list of what I want to do in the morning as my brain feels like mush at the moment for some reason and I can't seem to remember things, then probably an early night as DD2 who is currently upstairs FaceTiming a friend wants to go to Tate Britain tomorrow.

DH is sat looking at cars then watching YouTube videos on them as we will be changing ours soon and DD1 is at a dance music festival close to us celebrating her first week of full time work and her A Level results.

Listening to DH handle the toddler's procrastination of bedtime while I settle the baby. It's quite entertaining!

2yo down for sleep. Making tacos tonight and have put waaaay to much hot chilli powder on my chickpeas. Will sit down and watch football highlights with dp and then go to sleep as soon as possible (see reference to 2yo)

Been out looking at and buying flooring. Now bankrupt (or feel it).

Walked all 3 dogs. Fed everyone. Just waiting on bedding drying and then I can get showered, make the bed and get in. Only slept about 3 hours last night so am running on empty.

We are at DM's, going home tomorrow (no, I haven't packed anything). We've done a week here and a week at home all through the holidays and this is our last week here.

Just got DS5 to bed, DD9 is downstairs with DM listening to a couple of chapters of her book. After she's in bed we're having quiche - normally eat with the DC but we weren't hungry at their dinner time so they had something else. Neither of them like quiche anyway...

We went to IKEA today and the kids were hideous, which is weird because they love it there and normally behave themselves very well. There was a distinct lack of listening going on... So I'm exhausted from dealing with that! Looking forward to bed tonight.

It's dead quiet actually, no music or TV. I really have been usually tired this week and was sitting here thinking about things.

So full marks on the boring-o-meter!

But I do need to go to the shop before it shuts so have to rouse myself soon.

I'm with my elderly Dad for a few days. Bit of company and to help him with stuff he can't manage on his own and stuff that needs a car, as he's given up driving.

Tonight he's on his laptop and I'm on my phone whilst chatting about bits and bobs.

Baby is asleep, DH and I are watching The Office US. Dog asleep on my lap. DH is playing a very annoying gameboy game. We had kievs for dinner and the kitchen is tidy. Wine is out, and I’ve had a slice of very yummy cake

DH is trying to stay awake after a business trip to the states, but we're sat with our youngest DS (15) watching Star Wars (number 5 which is their favourite. Number 4 is mine). Might be on my second G&T, cheers!

I've ironed on name labels for sons school uniform, taken up the trousers on a jumpsuit I bought that was way too long for me. Cleared out/ organised/ cleaned freezer. Had things in there that I forgot!!
Had a catnap as awake loads in the night, and grabbed some time on my Kindle, too.

I'm lying on the floor next to youngest Dad's cot while she falls asleep. She's holding my ponytail!
DH putting other DC to bed.
Once bedtime is done I'm going to have some tea (everyone else has eaten but it was pasta which I'm not fussed about). I made meringues for the first time today and turned them into Eton mess, it might have to be a light tea as I'm now not hungry at all!
We will probably watch a film and have a cider.

I'm waiting for a bloody Chinese!! Starving!!

DD has just left to go and stay at her friends for the night so it's just me and DH, got something planned to watch on the TV, we looked after SIL's 6 month old French bulldog last night and he had us up at 4am (never again 🙈), so we're chilling with a glass or 2 of wine.

Not doing much just watching tv both kids in bed a sleep dd wanted to make rainbow cookies b4 bed so that's what we did and then she went off to sleep fine had workmen doing some work outside today so that's all done now thank god x
