I need a distraction & love these threads. How’s your Tuesday evening going? I’m drinking wine ( it’s from Aldi & I haven’t decided if I like it or not yet!) & have been binge watching Come Dine With Me on my phone. Find it fascinating. Also hiding from DD14 as she is on one tonight & I’m half expecting her to emerge from her room to try & pick a fight. DH is working til 8 so I have no back up. Doing an easy tea of extra large battered haddock, chips & petitpois. Need to unload & reload the dishwasher. I should sweep through the kitchen, lounge & hall but probably won’t! Might catch up with Celebrity Masterchef in a bit. DH isn’t keen so we’ll watch Greys Anatomy when he gets home. Will put the bunnies to bed around 8.

I've been out all day. I've just woken up from a much needed power nap and I've got half an hour to get ready to go out with friends.

I am 65.. got my youngest ASD eight year old Grandson staying over.
We have had fun with my new kitten ( 11 weeks). Played board games. Had a chippy tea.
Just booked an holiday for myself and my sister on line ( Kalkan in Turkey) stunning villa with its own pool .. we go in four weeks.
I'm laid on bed with Kitten .. on my phone. Grandson now in spare bedroom on his ipad.
I'm waiting for Emmerdale to start.Well l am from Yorkshire and many years ago when l was a student and it was Emmerdale farm .. l worked for my friends family outside catering company.. making bacon butties and cuppas for the cast and crew.Tomorrow l am going to a new very large M&S... retail therapy and the food hall.

DDOG is probably taking full advantage of the house being empty and sprawling on the sofa

I'm parked outside work trying to gear myself up for what awaits (nicu) on my 12 hour shift ahead... I didn't manage to nap today either 🥱

Hi @RabbitsRock I spent the afternoon with my two DS’s in the park. We took a packed lunch and ate it under a tree then they played in the playground and had ice cream. We are all knackered now so DH bought KFC for dinner. We are now drinking wine and beer and watching series 1 of The Goldbergs whilst the kids are having some screen time. I need to measure my sofas to see if the ones I plan to buy tomorrow will fit.

DH is currently making spag bol, DD (5) is watching Tangled in a wildly uncomfortable looking portion on the sofa and I’ve got 2 week old DS napping on my chest in the comfy chair while I mumsnet. So quite nice and cosy!

Just finished dinner (DP and me, cats and dogs) and we are all just relaxing now. Might go and watch something in a bit - DP is chatting to his DD first. A nice, chilled evening in the middle of a mental week work-wise, lol.

We are sitting at the bottom of our garden drinking wine in the last bit of evening sun.

I wish I could relax. I’ve had my 3 and 7 year old on my own nine nights running now. It’s another night of screeching and fighting, 3 year old has already refused to have a shower. So exhausted from it all.

DD is at a 2 night sleepover so I've cooked chicken fajitas for myself and DH (DD is veggie so we never get meat now unless she is out).
Horse done + dog training complete as she is on her first shoot in 8 weeks and we've done zero training for 3 months due to an incredibly hectic summer.
I've poured a glass of prosecco cos I've had a shit day at work and am now wasting time scrolling whilst waiting for DH to come home from work.

Got back from Portugal yesterday so doing the washing and did a food shop earlier
Dh has flown to Spain today with work
Myself and dd made a curry which we’ve just had now she’s getting ready to go out with friends and I’m going to catch up with some tv

We’ve had homemade pizzas for tea. I’ve just been doing some paint by numbers with my boys, 7 and 5, before bed. They are really enjoying doing it! We’ll have showers and bed soon for the DC then I’m planning on sitting on the sofa with DH with a cup of tea and chocolate bar and we will probably carry on watching Ted Lasso. Nothing exciting here at all!

DS has just got out the bath and is watching crap on YouTube. DH is in the kitchen roasting veg and making fish cakes. I'm procrastinating on my phone when I should be hoovering upstairs. It's gonna be a few episodes of The Bear once DS is in bed, then a few chapters of my book and an early night.

DH is away for work. DD8 is playing Roblox. DD12 is in a strop. I'm on the cava, dreading work tomorrow. My mum and sister are at a 5 star in Marbella and sending me lots of unsolicited photos. Save the final bit, all pretty standard.

Nothing. I'm on MN waiting for DH to come home from work then we will have dinner which I have already prepped. The dog is wandering around the garden. It's very quiet.

DH is having a long bath after his first day at his new job.

DD due in from work any time now.

DS (18) has gone to the pub with his GF and mates.

I’ve got dinner on the go and faffing on the internet. All pretty boring but we’re just back from 2 weeks holiday so everything seems mundane!

Parked up on couch, scrolling on MN. Picked up wee granddaughter from nursery earlier as her parents were at a funeral, dropped her off home. Bus home. I, ll watch Emmer Dale then maybe something on Netflix. Living life on the edge!!.

My daughter got all A stars in her A levels and has now the courage to look in to an alternate direction than her plan to go to art school (with it's competitive and unstable career), so we have spent the afternoon looking at possible academic degrees and reviewing Cambridge colleges! She doesn't believe she'd get in, but her mental image of living in an old stone building eating in a lofty hall and studying in the vast libraries has captured her imagination.
And now eating dinner watching Sanditon!

I've done annual review parents section for asd DS. DD has been to the gym and is now singing to herself. I've packed a suitcase for our trip to Mauritius. DH is just collecting the last parcels for the trip and driving back. We have a new kitchen being installed starting tomorrow so now will start emptying kitchen. Just done some hoovering.

today has been a cooking day for me... made a gorgeous orange, cardamom and rose cake with mainly almond flour. made pizza dough for the week, then a lovely orange, fennel and romaine salad. food shopping delivered today as well so have to sort that. about to make some spaghetti with courgette, peas and samphire... and some salmon. I live by myself so just looking forward to TV and dinner, then sleep.

I'm sat in the sofa with 2 broken elbows watching greys anatomy whilst DH puts DS5 to bed, sorts the washing and does the general housework. Wish I could do more right now but can't.

@Purplerainpurplesky oh gosh, that sounds awful. how did that happen if you don't mind me asking?

I’m watching the news on telly with DH. DD1 is washing up and clearing up after dinner. DD2 has gone out to her volunteering job.

Fell at the zoo on uk holiday last week, went over on my ankle last Thursday, arms outstretched to save my face and ended up pushing my arm bones into my elbow and causing 2 breaks. More painful than my c section and very difficult to do anything for myself including eating and drinking. DH has learnt how to do a ponytail though so at least that's something.

I worked until 5pm, broke up today until next Tuesday. Then straight onto a nail appointment, shellac a lovely blue colour with daisies. Got home complained about period pain, DH parcelled me off to the bath with a bottle of wine in a wine cooler and a bowl of nuts whilst he is cooking dinner. Dogs, 3 of them are all sleeping on the bathroom floor with me.

@Purplerainpurplesky that sounds horrific! hope you get better soon... and make the most of this opportunity to help your DH learn some more new skills maybe lol.
