I need a distraction & love these threads. How’s your Tuesday evening going? I’m drinking wine ( it’s from Aldi & I haven’t decided if I like it or not yet!) & have been binge watching Come Dine With Me on my phone. Find it fascinating. Also hiding from DD14 as she is on one tonight & I’m half expecting her to emerge from her room to try & pick a fight. DH is working til 8 so I have no back up. Doing an easy tea of extra large battered haddock, chips & petitpois. Need to unload & reload the dishwasher. I should sweep through the kitchen, lounge & hall but probably won’t! Might catch up with Celebrity Masterchef in a bit. DH isn’t keen so we’ll watch Greys Anatomy when he gets home. Will put the bunnies to bed around 8.

@tt9 to be honest, he's doing great, took unpaid leave booked DS into holiday club and giving me round the clock care, even managed to hoover the stairs.
Every silver lining I suppose.

Not long finished feeding the goats and cleaning out the new chick cage. Now I'm waiting for the bath to run while dh ds and dd watch footie

Enjoying the last hour of sunshine, sitting in a cosy chair watching my guinea pigs through the patio doors as they nibble grass in their run whilst drinking coffee and listening to The Hollies.

I've been at work all day, had a glass of wine while making dinner. DH has been home with the DC but had done all the chopping of stuff for dinner, so it didn't take me long to make. He's just nipped out to Tesco for a few bits so he doesn't have to go with DS2 tomorrow. DS1 is watching tv in his room. DS2 has been told to go and get his pj's on but it sounds like he's playing football in his room. I'm about to tidy up after dinner and then sort the dog's dinner out. When DH gets back, we're watching a new paranormal series he found on iplayer. It's my first week back at work after a week off so I've appreciated a couple of chilled evenings this week!

@Purplerainpurplesky that sounds very painful, you poor thing. Glad to hear your DH is a good 'un!

Picked DD(2) up from nursery after work, when we got home DH had filled the paddling pool up and had a picnic style tea on the go (quiche, salad, potato salad etc). So we sat in the garden chatting while DD played in the pool. Then she started to get chilly so we came in and watched the CBeebies bedtime story, gave her a quick bath and she's just gone down for bed.

Now I'm about to make myself a cuppa, do a quick kitchen tidy/dishwasher load and then I've got tonight and last nights Eastenders to watch! Then I think il take my new book up to bed with a face mask and read til I fall asleep 💤

Waiting for DH to get back from a work trip. He just messaged to say he was on the DLR so not long now. Hot, so windows open and I can hear restaurant customers building up in street outside.. sounds of jollity, meeting and greeting in half a dozen different languages. Dog snorting quietly in her sleep. A new and delightfully mouldy looking cheese downstairs waiting to be broken into.

Just put my little boy to bed and eating a family size bar of Dairy Milk. 4 days overdue with DD and wondering if tonight will be the night and will it go OK 😖. Can't wait for wine

I went for afternoon tea at a friend's house this afternoon, then came home & cooked tea. I've just sat down to write out a crochet pattern before I forget what I want to do, then maybe cut some more felt shapes for a story telling prop I'm making. Or maybe crochet some more of my top.

Dd2's just got in the shower. Dd1 should be continuing some college work she's started, but not sure whether she is or not 🤷‍♀️ Shall investigate shortly.

Ds age 5 is in bed after a tiring first morning at school today.
Ds age 12 is gaming and relaxing after his first ever day at high school.
Ds age 15 is playing with his kitten, he’s skipped rugby practice after a tiring first day back.

Tired house all around! I’m just about to shower and have an early night, dh is eating cheesecake and watching tv. We had pork chops and mash for dinner.

I’ve just got back from walking the dog. DH is sitting at his desk doing quotes. DS is laying in the other front room watching crap on his phone. DD and DS are both out with friends and will turn up around 9.30 to destroy my nice clean kitchen.

I shall be heading upstairs soon to shower and go to bed as I have an early start tomorrow.
