How often do you see your nieces and nephews?

I’ve only met mine a couple of times and feel so sad about it. Granted they aren’t yet one.
I’m just wondering how often most people see theirs. A colleague sees hers several times a week!

One DN I haven't seen for about 15 years as I'm NC with my Dsis. On the other side maybe 2/3 times a year, mainly due to distance but also not a great relationship with that Dsis either

Most are grown up so aren't interested in me.

Before I had my own DC those close to me it would be anything from on average 2-4 times per month and those furthest it would be about 4 times per year. Though I did do some baby sitting for some of them.

Now with own DC they come to see her not me.

They are adults so once a year just before Christmas at my brothers house, they live about 10 miles away. DH hardly ever sees his side because they live about 300 miles away. As children we saw them 2 or 3 times a year, DHs family were more local then

Christmas and family events, occasionally other times if we happen to be visiting other relatives at the same time. We’re amicable, but not close.

Half of mine live in America and the others live around 250 miles and a boat trip away, so not often.

Two sets of nieces and nephews here - all, including my kids, aged 9-16.

One set lives within shouting distance of our house - see them a lot, my DS is especially close to nearest-aged DN and they have mutual friends/sports teams etc.

Other set lives a six-hour drive away. See them maybe 4-5 times a year. All get on really well when we do. Living nearer them is the single thing in my life I'd most like to change (they need to come here so we don't move away from the other set though! 😂).

It's not perfect - there was LOADS of squabbling etc among the close-by ones when they were younger - but we are very lucky.

It depends, we lived in the same house for a short while so everyday then.

When he was little it would have been unusual for me to not see him weekly, sometimes more often. Maybe a bit less as a teenager as he had more stuff on.

I missed him during lockdown.

Now he's an adult with a busy job involving lots of travel, so I see him less but he messages me most days, often just jokey memes and banter but we're still close and I love catching up with him.

We have trips out sometimes, and it is very different now he's a grown up but I bloody love it, he's great company and good fun.

We live a couple of hundred miles apart so I only actually see her 3 or 4 times a year, but I chat to my niece on WhatsApp etc all the time. I love her to bits.

Less than once a year.
