Ds has had this verruca about 3 months or so now. It's just getting bigger and bigger, I've never seen one so big ! It's about a centimetre wide but it's also almost like a ball on the side of his foot !
It's hurting him now when he walks. We've used bazuka, those plasters with sacylic acid on, duct tape and most recently a verruca and wart freeze treatment. Well that did fuck all apart from aggravate it it seems because since then it's got even bigger.
I can't file it off as ds is autistic and can't hack the sensory part of that. Will a gp prescribe something super super strong does anyone know ?

I would try the nail varnish, it worked on one on my dd. Just trim away any dead skin (I used cuticle nippers) and reapply it every night.
I would be careful with filing it down, I know it's often recommended but in my experience it encourages them to spread.

DS10 has recently seen a chiropodist after a year of treating him with over the counter products for a really deep rooted verruca.

The chiropodist cut out the hardened dead skin ( it's on the ball of his foot so it was painful to walk on) then freezed the verruca. He then gave us this solution, pictured below to apply twice daily. We are on day 12 of applications. Will take a photo and send it to the chiropodist who will then advice as to whether we stop, continue applying or need to see him again.

Perhaps try this solution as it is available to buy. Might be more effective than nail polish.

Any dead skin removed from the verruca is highly contagious by the way. You could spread the verruca to hands when handling.

I've had success using the scholl veruca pen on my ds.
