I put yoghurt in my porridge.

How gross is this?

Do you like it? Are you making other people eat it? Do what you want.

Ketchup would be a lot worse

Not something I’ve ever done but not gross tbh, both sweet foods, people often put honey or jam in porridge, it’s not that different.

Judging by my friend's reaction I think she'd have been less horrified if I'd added ketchup.

My colleague puts mango chutney in sandwiches. That's worse IMO.

I do that for the kids. Porridge, berries and yoghurt. Can’t see the problem.

I have a big dollop of greek yoghurt, fruit and seeds on porridge. Lovely 😍

I have my porridge oats with orange juice and ground ginger.
Yogurt seems perfectly normal tbh.

I put yoghurt in my porridge… is it not normal? On another note, I thought putting sprinkles on white bread with margarine was normal until a recent thread so I may not be the best one to judge!

Greek yoghurt is normal surely? Overnight oats / Bircher muesli is made by adding yoghurt. What do they think is unusual about it?

In my home country it’s also quite popular - we call it ‘hagelslag’ - for some reason British people seem to find it a bit ‘out there’ though!

@metalmaude are you Dutch? My mum always used to put coffee in Brinta (a special kind of porridge) when we were sick as kids. On special occasions she’d make ‘bierpap’ which is porridge made with beer as a starter!!

@BatshitIsTheOnlyExplanation brie, cucumber and mango chutney is the best sandwich combo. generally cheese and mango chutney goes so well together.

I put them together for overnight oats.

Quite normal.

It's nice in a turkey sandwich. We had that last Boxing Day evening.

There was a woman on the radio a while ago who said she eats sardines mixed in with her porridge, now THATS gross.

oh and mango chutney in a chicken salad sandwich is amazing, no weirder than cranberry sauce 🤷🏻‍♀️
