Where do you put all your bedding?

Do you have each individuals bedding in their own room or all in one place? Do you have it in a drawer?! Where?!

I'm organising and and am drowning in sheets.

2 sets per bed. All folded neatly and packed into one of the pillow cases then these are stacked in my old airing cupboard in my bedroom when not on the bed, but could be stored in each person's wardrobe if I didn't have that space!

AvengedQuince · 19/08/2023 13:37

On a shelf under the boiler

SquigglePigs · 19/08/2023 13:39

In a drawer in the spare room for all the adult bedding. Spare kids bedding in the drawer under her bed.

PSBorNormal · 19/08/2023 13:40

2 sets per bed. I have a shelf in our room which takes one set, DC have theirs plus their spare towels and spare blankets on the top shelf of their wardrobe.

GeraldTheGoodMouse · 19/08/2023 13:41

Airing cupboard, which is huge.

Angstyaug · 19/08/2023 13:41

Totally hear you on this, OP. Best thing I did was to get a divan bed which keeps bedding put of the way and dust free. Dds don't have divan beds so I'm putting it in their wardrobes, though there's very little space.

Plankingplanks · 19/08/2023 13:43

We have ottoman beds. Bedding and winter clothes etc all go in there

Blowyourowntrumpet · 19/08/2023 13:45

In the divan drawers in the bed. Excess in airing cupboard

DuploTrain · 19/08/2023 13:46

We keep them in the individual rooms because we don’t have an airing cupboard.

Ours are in the top shelf of wardrobe.
DS - in his chest of drawers.
Spare room - in the bedside tables.

woodlandtrees · 19/08/2023 13:46

I have a lovely wooden ottoman in spare bedroom. We don't have an airing cupboard

Shinyandnew1 · 19/08/2023 13:50

Airing cupboard-shelf for towels, shelf for single bedding, shelf for double bedding and one for king size bedding. Sets kept all together with sheet/pillow case.

Theoldwoman · 19/08/2023 13:50

If you are drowning in sheets, you have too many.

In our home, we have 3 queen beds.

4 sets of queen sheets, around 18 pillowcases.

So essentially only one spare set of sheets. I don’t wash everyone’s on the same day. If it’s getting late in the day, I put the set from the cupboard on, otherwise wash and dry the ones taken off , put them back on.

i keep them all in the linen cupboard.

jackstini · 19/08/2023 13:52

Bedding for each bed underneath that bed (all ottoman beds)

Cowlover89 · 19/08/2023 13:52

In the wardrobe

aintnospringchicken · 19/08/2023 14:00

In the airing cupboard on the top shelf(towels on bottom shelf). Each bed(1 king,2 doubles and one single) has 2 sets of bedding.Duvet cover, fitted sheet and extra pillow cases are stored inside one of the pillow cases.

CatsOnTheChair · 19/08/2023 14:02

2 sets per bed (1 king, 1 double, 2 singles) stored in a large drawer under my side of the king divan. Towels stored on the other side.

Spare duvets and pillows on the top shelf of DSs wardrobe.

rainbug · 19/08/2023 14:04

We have a large dressing table/chest of drawers on the landing. One of the large drawers holds towels, the other holds bedding. Each bed has three sets of bedding. It fits at the moment as all three kids are still in toddler beds but in future will will only be able to fit the kids bedding in it and our bedding will go under our bed

Hopingforno2in2023 · 19/08/2023 14:09

We bought a bed with drawers

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 19/08/2023 14:12

Big old fashioned wooden blanket box with everyone’s spares in at the end of the bed in the main bedroom. Also have an old fashioned linen press with all the eiderdowns in - we use them on the beds in winter, very old very cold house, saves a fortune in not putting the heating on 😁

Flossflower · 19/08/2023 14:17

I have come on here for advice as I have the same problem. I only have 1 spare set of each but there are also the spare duvets: winter duvet when it is summer and vice versa. We have an airing cupboard but it is full of towels.

I have a friend whose house looks like a showroom and a couple of months ago I found out why. She keeps almost everything in the loft.

NowNumber5 · 19/08/2023 14:18

We have a large linen cupboard off the stairs, which houses all the bed linen and towels, and also the loo rolls!

dontgobaconmyheart · 19/08/2023 14:18

We have a box room/spare room and had a couple of built in shelved cupboards done above the boiler and in an alcove in there which is where we also keep our towels. Nothing fancy or high spec but we had to box in the boiler anyway (property is a renovation project) so thought we may as well.

I just put the respective bedding sets in drawstring linen bags and pop them in there. 2 sets for each bed per season (eg cotton for summer, brushed cotton for winter) and anything out of season I vacuum pack and put away under the respective beds in boxes where you can't see them, then launder it all when it comes out- the same with the seasonal duvets.

I keep one spare linen set only in case of a last minute guest using the sofa bed but that's it. I did away with our guest room and turned into into an office /home library for myself so that's one less bed!

Annaishere · 19/08/2023 14:20

I only keep one set each bed because I’ve no storage space

TheSkull · 19/08/2023 14:20

Clean towels and bedding in airing cupboard

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/08/2023 14:23

We have a blanket box on the landing. We all have 2 sets of bedding
