For me it's houseplants. I've always liked them and am a bit of a gardener but I got quite interested and now propagate and give away to friends.

I wish I'd taken the chance to really get in to running or some other outdoor activity but sadly didn't.

Duolingo!

I still can't speak Welsh, or Dutch, or Japanese, or Finnish. But it's fun trying.

Nodeepdiving · 18/08/2023 22:32

Sewing!

Also got pregnant in May '20 and the resultant 2.5yo is currently asleep in his cot. Mind you, he alternates between being a hobby and a chore 😅

Baking. Started because there was frequently no bread in our supermarket. Now I bake bread and do celebration cakes too.

jelly79 · 18/08/2023 22:37

Online exercise classes

PocketPoL · 18/08/2023 22:39

Scrolling on my phone in search for reassurance whilst simultaneously finding out ten more things I need to seek reassurance for on Mumsnet. Until late.

Yoga.
Abstaining from alcohol.

asterdaisy · 18/08/2023 22:59

Regular walks, watching too much tv.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 18/08/2023 23:04

Sourdough here too, wholemeal, which only I like. Which leads to eating too much!

GalileoHumpkins · 18/08/2023 23:06

Sock knitting, I was already a knitter but socks always bamboozled me before.

caringcarer · 18/08/2023 23:06

Gardening and crochet. I never did either before.

DH now makes homemade pizzas in the pizza oven we bought during lockdown as all takeaways were closed during the first lockdown.

Paix · 18/08/2023 23:09

Running

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 18/08/2023 23:10

Keeping away from people, I’m still enjoying it 😂

I miss this so much!

SkaneTos · 18/08/2023 23:11

Doomscrolling.

LibbyL92 · 18/08/2023 23:15

Reading (bought a kindle in lockdown)
outdoor swimming
saving money (was fortunate to have worked the whole way through, not going out was an incentive to get my finances in order)

Nat6999 · 18/08/2023 23:16

Crochet, I've done 7 blankets since 2020, half the family have them. It helps my mental health, when I'm doing it I don't think about anything else.

MintJulia · 18/08/2023 23:18

I taught myself to make jam, bottle fruit, home make & bottle sweet chilli sauce.

It's that time of year again. My kitchen smells delicious. 😊

MuggleMe · 18/08/2023 23:18

Online boardgames with my brothers 😊

DappledThings · 18/08/2023 23:19

Another one for crochet. Taught myself from YouTube in lockdown.

Nel1975 · 18/08/2023 23:23

Another one for crochet. Picked up a Harry Potter kit in Aldi in June 2020 and haven't really stopped since!! Alway have at least one project on the go.

17CherryTreeLane · 18/08/2023 23:28

Playing piano. It's such a stress reducer!

NotMeNoNo · 18/08/2023 23:28

My sourdough is still going, just made up my starter for tomorrow.
