Can anyone else just not stand Emma Kenny as a presenter?Everyone but me seems to love her.

I mean, she may be a lovely person of course-but I cringe listening to her.

Some things she says are so questionable. E.G I listened to a bit of a youtube she did regarding Star Hobson (linked to on thread about same) and she says about how Brockhill's 'masculinity' is part of the whole thing. And that her being a bouncer (not the correct term regardless!) shows her favouring violence. I know many people (male and female) who do security who do it because they want to protect (I accept some are in it for the wrong reasons but, blanket statement) and are great people, and some very masculine presenting women who are very gentle in their personalities-Brockhill is a horrendous person of course but I feel saying this is part of why, is a real insult to some people.

I've seen her say other things too but none come to mind currently, I'll try to think-I don't want to watch her in anything else or I would use her content to jog my memory.

She sounds almost drunk on some of her material too.

Some of it is just my own issues-the way she over-gesticulates and is SO over the top in her describing of things is a trait that irritates me but I know that's just me!

But late to the party, but just to say that Emma Kenny has a degree in Psychology, a masters degree in counselling and before her media career she worked with child protection and domestic violence. So, she's the real deal. I really like her videos, but she can be a bit irritating! I still like her better than the other true crime YouTubers. I used to like Stephanie Harlowe, but she is BEYOND smug, and I like Eleanor Neale, but her editing irritates me. There's also Kirsty Danielle, who does a crime and makeup thing.

has a degree in Psychology - yeah, alongside hundreds of thousands of others (there are 40,000 new psychology graduates each year in the UK). Far more is required for the BPS to recognise you as a practising psychologist. She skirts around it by calling herself a TV psychologist, which isn't a protected term, but she really has no business calling herself a psychologist.

She's apparently registered with BACP so she's presumably an accredited counsellor.

Stephanie Harlowe is very strange. Good content but a shitty person, give her reddit threads a look at. It’s quite shocking. I don’t mind her crime weekly show with her co host who is a PI and was an investigator Derrick, he has his own show on YT, detective perspective.

Danielle Kirsty is a Bailey Sarian copycat without the charisma. I’m not keen on the make up aspect either.
I find the cases Danielle does too uncomfortable to watch. She recently covered the Scottish grooming gang which is a despicable case and she gave away (it was obvious but not her place to play detective) the likely identity of 3 children who have been victim to some of the most heinous child abuse in recent history and had a right to have their identities kept private. Her playing sleuth has told a platform of millions of people who the children likely are and whilst many would have made a connection anyway, it isn’t fair to use your platform to give opinions that could diminish victims right to privacy. Shocking she’d do that just to give an opinion.

Eleanor (my DD is named Eleanor so I always want to like her more than I do) but she seems quite disingenuous and I don’t know why, maybe I’m being harsh.

Mollie Westbrook is terrific, absolutely full of empathy.

Kendal Rae I’m on the fence about a few things but ultimately she uses her platform to not only raise more awareness for victims families but also tries to help them financially. She’s done 2 film documentaries herself with the victim’s families and whilst she isn’t the most likeable of content creators her and her husband give back.

Emma Kenney is definitely the most watchable presenter but I wonder if she does perhaps research her cases by watching Stephanie Harlowe and just bulking out what Stephanie says with more word salad.

I can’t stand Bailey Sarian who Danielle Kirsty copies, talking about the sexual assaults and murders of people, often kids, whilst giggling and applying lashes isn’t for me. She has charisma and she’s watchable but it seems quite disrespectful to the victims but maybe I’m just a miserable bastard but I can’t imagine talking about the death of someone’s child and then asking do you like my shimmery eyes or something, it’s just weird.

I agree with you! She isn't pretty and she cant act. Here's why. When Emmy Rossum started to leave the show the writers had a fit, they knew Emmy's sexy acting wasn't able to be replaced, at least not on the money they had to spend. So here's young Emma Kennedy in one season she went from a redhead chubby child to some fat ass ugly non acting child. They tried to dress her up but she wore what she wanted anyway. Her acting is from rehearsals. That sound is forcing the words out while rehearsing and it carried over while taping. When she was corrected she would only change her tone one time and would go right back to it. She says things that are so out of place because she isn't emphasizing the emotion or the right tone of voice when she speaks the rehearsed words then there's that rehearsal tone again. If it wasn't for the other actors the show would have bombed after Emmy Rossum left. Oh when the writers had suggested that they pretty Kennedy up and use her as the main character in the shows family. her real family and manager demanded more money. The contract that was signed gave her the show until the very end and that's why she didn't take a back seat to the other actors in the show, Never liked her acting or her looks. The writers should have just paid for another actress to come in after Leona
