Because she looks absolutely amazing. But how the fuck is her stomach like that with such a tiny baby? How olds her baby there, like 8 weeks or something ? Not very old that's for sure.
So what magic is this !! It makes me feel so lazy and inadequate, I'm not lazy at all but fucking hell my stomach still didn't look like that 5 years after having my first let alone now after having a 10 month old !!
Just sick of seeing these celebs back to basically pre pregnancy bodies in a matter of months, what am I doing wrong ?

My stomach looked like this 2 weeks after having my DD, I was 24.
I was 9st 4 when I got pregnant and 2 stone heavier at 9 months.
I was 10 stone when I came out of hospital and the rest dropped off over a few weeks being a busy mum.
I didn’t exercise atall. My mum was the same after 4 of us. Think it could well be genetic.

huggiess · 05/08/2023 06:40

Possibly it could be. But as a pp said, all these celebs have good genetics ! I know I'm determined to get some kind of body back after this baby though, I'm not even big, it's just my stomach I hate !

What do photos like this - which have been photoshopped to shit - do? They make women feel shit. And they make men - like the one recently who was horrible to his wife for not looking like this after 3 c sections, feel like this is what women could and should look like after a baby if only they put in enough effort.

I have no idea who this woman is but she's as harmful to women as anorexic bodies being promoted as healthy. It's utterly toxic.

I couldn't agree more. What horrendous pressure nowadays. Just dreadful.

She also had horrendous pre-natal depression.

Probably not helped by trying to look like she didn’t have a baby 8 weeks ago.

Quite. Poor woman.

I think shaming someone for looking good after birth is as bad as shaming them for looking like shit. Has she said anything irresponsible about how she's stayed in shape?

I agree - not OP but some of the other comments. Unless she's said anything irresponsible then who cares what she looks like. Should she not share any social media pictures of herself in case someone gets upset?

I could fit into my size 6 jeans the day after giving birth (this actually was just how I am, I'm not particularly someone who exercises and my stomach isn't as muscular as hers, but it did just immediately go back flat) and if I was someone who posts on SM, which I'm not, I wouldn't have avoided doing so just because it so happened my stomach was flat.

“Hate” is a very strong word and an emotion to feel about your body.

I understand and relate to the desire to get your fit/athletic body back, but feeling hatred is a dangerous and unhelpful territory.

My 2p for what is worth - just yesterday I was saying to DH half-jokingly that I should have taken more photos of my six pack as I probably won’t ever see it again.

I do all I can with my current available time and motivation - I’m eating low-carb, non-UPF, 16:8 intermittent fasting, but I’m not restricting calories as still breastfeeding, with non-sleeping baby. I swim twice a week, play tennis once a week and plan to go back to weightlifting in a few weeks.

Yet after two pregnancies and pushing 40 I accept that I may never have a six pack again. Small price to pay for having two lovely children. 😊 I’ll still aim to get fit and athletic because I love feeling healthy and strong, but with less vanity than in my 20s.

I had to look up Paul Gasgoine, but realised I had heard of himBlush. To be fair I don't know anything about football.

Sorry! Agreeing with the above. She has a look (hair and facial fillers) that isn't my style, and many people can fit into pre pregnancy clothes in a few days or weeks rather than months. But chances are, as her face has that odd filtered look, that her body has received the same treatment.

If she's a celebrity of some sort she might feel under pressure to share a photo showing her at her best.

A lot of it is luck, my stomach looked like that a few weeks after my first baby. It did not after my second and third 😂
