Returning missed calls from random numbers

I hate doing this! Someone called me an hour ago. Not using a private caller ID or a unknown number, I can see the actual mobile number in my missed calls list but it isn’t one that’s in my contacts list.

To top it off, they haven’t left a voice Mail either so I’ve absolutely no idea who I’m returning a call to.

I feel really awkward doing it, I’m just like “hello, you called me and I’m just returning your call?”

What does everyone else say?

I ignore them as quite possibly selling or scam.

I usually save the number and check their WhatsApp pic! If they don't have WhatsApp then I just leave it and think if it's that important they'll ring back Smile

Ignore, 99% of the time its a scam / sales call. If they actually wanted to speak to you they would leave a message.

Nothing. I don't call back. They'll call again if it's important.

Unkown number calls I get are usually cold calls.

I tend to ignore them. The calls I get like that tend to be scam calls claiming to be from Amazon, Revoult, Tax office etc otherwise they would leave a voicemail.

I google their number specifically on sites like who called me? I never call back a random number. If they want me they can call back or leave me a message.

Had one yesterday, I just ignored them. I also Google the number and block. I don’t bother answering the house phone either as it’s a scam 99 times out of 100.

I don't return one- off missed calls unless I'm certain it's from someone I was trying to get in touch with/really need to speak to.

Most of the time, it's scams or companies trying to sell you something!

Check the number on who-called.com it’ll tell you how many times it’s been searched and if negative. People also leave comments.

If I miss a call from a number I don't know I don't return it unless they've left me a message.

I don't say anything as I don't call them back. If they really want me they'll call back, or leave a message.

Also never call them back. Why would you? If they haven't left a message it's almost certainly a scammer.

I never call back if they don't leave a message. I will google the number as well to check if it is spam.

If they want you badly enough they’ll leave a message.

Have you bought anything recently from AO? They kept trying to call me after I bought from them. It was never a convenient time and always from a different number.
