My 3 year old son has just come in from the garden with his hand behind his back and then presented me with a daisy that he'd picked. He said, 'this is for you mama, put it in you hair' ❤️

He then went on to tell me that he wanted to pick 'a yellow one' but there's 'too many bugitos on it' 🤣🥰

You know when some random very funny thing pops into your head and makes you smile or even giggle.. while walking alone, in public.. well that happened today.
A picture someone showed me about a week ago that made me really belly laugh popped into my head.

I was alone, walking in town, people walking past me. Laughed dramatically out loud to myself.

Justcallmebebes · 03/08/2023 12:43

My DGD after waking up to discover she had chicken pox and getting upset as we couldn't go to all the nice things we had planned for the rest if the time with us, calmed down and said " at least we can read lots of books together Granny".

Mousehoel · 03/08/2023 12:49

Bugitos - that’s so sweet!

A couple of piglets got out on a road near me and caused a traffic jam, but they weren’t scared at all, gave not one shit about anything but having some fun! They just romped around playing, looking at cars, and finally galloped back into the farmyard!

LazyLeopard · 03/08/2023 12:55

@BeautyAndTheBruiser That's so cute!

@tobee that's my sort of treat!

@Justcallmebebes Well done! What do you do?

@Maggiesgirl Hope the pox aren't too itchy for her x

@Mousehoel We had some actual chickens cross the road near us, who were happy to make us wait!

LazyLeopard · 03/08/2023 12:57

Forgot to add mine. The teen brought me a cup of tea, in a nice mug.

LaMaG · 03/08/2023 12:58

My daughter is dressing up today for a camp talent thing and she was so happy wearing wings it made me smile.

The Enid Blyton thread currently on Chat. Taking me on a wonderful trip down memory lane.

My dog when I came downstairs this morning, she is so excited every time, bless her

3 washings out and dry! Sad life but I'm over then moon after a week of rain 😆

HappilyContentTheseDays · 03/08/2023 13:01

Just walked into the village to post a letter, half an hour walk as I live rurally.
During my walk I had 3 people smile and wave from their gardens, two people stop and chat, and an older chap on a disability scooter stopped for a conversation too. Never seen him before in my life but interesting to talk to, passed a very pleasant 10 minutes.

It has made me smile because it's so lovely to live in a community where total strangers smile, talk and make friends so easily. Towns can be very unfriendly and insular these days, everyone is so wrapped up in their own business and so wary of others. Today has just restored my faith in humanity!

NurseryNurse10 · 03/08/2023 13:08

When I went into work earlier, a bunch of the kids came running up to me, shouting my name and then cuddled me. Was really lovely.

Losttheplotsometimeago · 03/08/2023 13:09

Saw a dragonfly

I've had a really, really painful hip for the past couple of days after a night spent on a squishy sofa with no lumbar support. I was envisaging having to forego my beloved exercise classes for months and months. But today I've woken up and its almost completely fine, a little twing-y but basically okay.

My dog seems to be getting back to health after several weeks of illness. She slept through the night without vomiting or weeing the bed and has been in a good mood all day. She even did a poo this morning. And it was semi-solid. I've never been so pleased to feel the rigidity of a turd through a poo sack at 7am.

The sun's shining so I've been able to get towels and sheets out on the line rather than having them fust dry in the kitchen. And there are a lot of towels and sheets to dry - see above re. leaky pooch.

MoonsHaunted · 03/08/2023 13:16

A family member realised it was what would’ve been the 30th birthday of our old family pet and sent through 30 different photos of her. I’ve been smiling scrolling through the memories.

Pieceofpurplesky · 03/08/2023 13:19

My mum has dementia but today is a good day and so far she knows who we all are. That's something to smile about.

BeautyAndTheBruiser · 03/08/2023 13:22

These are all great 😀 I love how the simplist of things can make your day!

I'm smiling because my neighbour brought round a homemade chilli just because.

Natsku · 03/08/2023 13:29

The sun came out so me and DS went for a swim in the lake and we saw a pair of swans.

caringcarer · 03/08/2023 13:56

DH just announced he can take 4 days holiday next week.
