Friday night, what are you up to?

It’s been a long week. I went back to therapy, and finally realised I have PTSD following the death of my parents. Only taken me 20odd years 🤦🏻‍♀️ But knowing has helped me be less angry at myself.

So tonight, DH and I had a glass of wine in the garden. Now he and the teens are larking around, while I make dinner. Nothing special - just Spag Bol - but I enjoy cooking on a Friday night, feels like a reward for a very busy week at work. It’s nice.

The teens will shortly disappear upstairs with beige, and we will have dinner, and more wine, and most likely watch a Succession or a new Black Mirror. What are you up to? How has your week been?

it started with me doing some meal prep and singing in the kitchen and ended up with me going on a walk and lying in a field crying - early days of grief.

But the first part is what im fixating on. It was nice and much needed.

I’ve had a lovely long bath, made a nice easy pasta dish and now I’m about to have a good laugh on Dead by Daylight with my hilarious new American friends

I'm lying in bed, feeling sorry for myself and watching ragnarok. Wondering why my life is going downhill

We’re on a little Cabü weekend away in Kent, my husbands having a nap as he can’t stay awake past 9pm without one 🤣

When we gets out of bed we’re going to have a little evening beach walk and stop for a few beers and snacks on the beach.

Aha it was sold out! Should have known to book! Back home now watching the last episode of the Sixth commandment!

Been round to friends for our regular Friday night catch up and board games. Group of us get together every Friday if we are free and drink gin and wine, put the world to rights, and play board games. I'm not drinking as on some pretty strong ABs, and I still managed to come last, even though 3/5 of the group had not played the game before!
Sorry for those of you having rubbish weeks.

Fiancé is away for the night with DSS visiting family so I've spent the whole day in bed binge watching TLC's 90 Day Fiancé 🤣🤣 with a McDonald's breakfast and a pizza for dinner. Never usually get days like this plus I'm on my period (with horrendous cramps) so feel I deserve it 😌

DS2s birthday today (now!). He's 12.

Every year he loses his shit the night before his birthday, mainly because he's excited, can't sleep, frets he will be tired the next day and ruin it; gets more worked up, some phantom pain appears somewhere in his body, gets more worked up etc. Thought we'd gotten away with it but at 10.30 he crept into our room in tears, woke up DH who had a migraine, so I've been on the floor of DS2s room for 2.5 hours and can no longer feel my arse. I've given him nurofen for the "leg pain" and he's not stirred for the last 20 minutes. i might make a break for it. I guarantee DH is starfished and I end up on the couch....

@DungballInADress hope you got some sleep! My son is 20 today! He lives away so me, daughter and two dogs came down to visit. Last night we had a bbq - first of the year! Totally stuffed ourselves and man that boy, who is normally on a very strict regime ate: two steaks, two burgers, half a sausage, huge amount of potato salad, corn on the cob, and is paying for it now! Unfortunately he has to work today so is skipping the gym and having just tea for breakfast.
