Won’t go into details but horrendous few days with DD14. If anyone has done something positive, please share it. I need to hear about the world outside of our incredibly stressful bubble!

Just bought myself a van, I’m going to do it up and have a three month break from everything.

Sorry to hear you've had a rough few days.

I've been on annual leave this week. It's half way through the school holidays here in Scotland. Took my boys to an indoor bouncy castle place then went to look at a few statues on the local cancer charity trail. We're excitedly planning our holiday to the Cairngorms next week 😁

I have a crow who visits me daily and has done for a year. Today, he brought his wife and they were showing off their baby. I showed them mine too 😆

Dancingqueenwannabe · 27/07/2023 20:06

I have wine and tomorrow off work!! Nothing very exciting in the grand scheme of things but after 3 very busy weeks it's a positive for me!!
Sorry to hear you are going through a hard time, hope you are OK xxx

After 9 years, my DP proposed to me last week! I have been a patient saint waiting for the day (I absolutely have not!) but he finally gave in 😂

These divorcees hey, they never learn! 😂

Phineyj · 27/07/2023 20:24

My 10 year old got a t-shirt today with a picture of a t-rex and the caption "If you're happy and you know it, clap your...oh."

I also managed a day out with my younger sister and we're still speaking.

Was told last week that after 8mths of fighting (its really been 18mths but only 8 of me digging my heels in and being a pain) my 8yr old Autistic son has been offered a place at a specialised school.

DH discovered one of his company pensions from years ago will pay out about 10x what he thought it would based on figures from other pension pots we have, and there's a decent % annual increase. Means we probably won't be skint in old age.

midlifecrash · 27/07/2023 21:00

I found my glasses! I’ve been looking for them at home, but they were handed in at work.

TobiasForgesContactLense · 27/07/2023 21:05

Twice today I had 10 minutes to myself. I wasn't supposed to be working or looking after my child. It was glorious! Also not back at work until Tuesday now.

Our next door neighbours house has doves nesting in the roof, they are both pure white and are proud parents to two adorable tufty fledglings. They're little faces poking out of a hole in the eaves are adorable.

PixiesAreReal · 27/07/2023 21:15

I saw a deer and she saw me.
We had a moment.

Ihateboris · 27/07/2023 21:15

Sorry to hear you're having a crap week. Hopefully this picture of my new puppy will cheer you up 🙂

Ah, I don’t mind rats (outside) but we also have foxes…so no rats!

Sorry you're having a rough time 😔 I know I shouldn't let her, but my sweet puppy licking a popsicle helped cheer me up yesterday so it might give you a smile too.

My boss is away tomorrow so I'll go in at 9am instead of 8.30am.
Rebel, moi?

I'm on a long train journey. Ds has just fallen asleep on my shoulder. He's 11so I thought the days of him sleeping on me were way past. My arm feels a bit numb but I don't want to move

Thisishard23 · 27/07/2023 21:47

I had an actual spontaneous nap today after a five mile walk / jog. The children didn't argue much today. And now I'm drinking gin out of a can 🤩

mrsdolittle · 27/07/2023 21:48

DS (19) mowed the lawn with very little prompting from me. This has made DH very happy. Small winsSmile

I have an interview at work for something that will be voluntary alongside my actual job, but will do wonders for my development. I've also been told not to worry if I don't get it, a colleague has some other things she can get me involved in.

I've also just found out someone can potentially support me with getting a project outside of work off the ground, if I put together a case for it.
