Absolute shit week - please distract me with your positive experiences!

Won’t go into details but horrendous few days with DD14. If anyone has done something positive, please share it. I need to hear about the world outside of our incredibly stressful bubble!

I bought a bike today so that my daughter and I can hopefully get some cycling done this summer.
I also found a prize notification- for a bag of jelly snakes, but still!

I had a baby a week ago today. I had a c section and was up and about the same day. Today I cleaned the house and went shopping. I'm pretty sore now tbf but I also feel a bit like superwoman.

I hope things start to look up for you, OP.

@RabbitsRock I'm sorry you've been having a shit time but if it gives you hope it won't be forever as nothing ever is. Unmumsnetty hugs to you - teens are so hard. My DD3 is getting married next Sunday and we had her final dress fitting. She looks like a princess and I'm so excited for her. I cried [happy tears.]

My DD has had a difficult time recently with work, moving cities and has made some mistakes.
This week she's been offered a wonderful new job, found a good flat and passed her driving test. So happy!
Love the puppy pics and hearing about the crow family!

DH discovered one of his company pensions from years ago will pay out about 10x what he thought it would based on figures from other pension pots we have, and there's a decent % annual increase. Means we probably won't be skint in old age.

I am lying in bed content on holiday listening to my sleeping family. Teens are hard, I have one that periodically makes big mistakes. I am having to learn to live in the moment

I have a crow who visits me daily and has done for a year. Today, he brought his wife and they were showing off their baby. I showed them mine too 😆

3 car boots full of clutter taken to the tip and sorted into the recycle skips.

New blinds and curtains put up after decorating, it now looks finished and just lovely.
One set of drawers cleared out of crap. (Another 3 to go)

Feeling accomplished on my annual leave. Been putting this stuff off for ever!
