Handhold for the weekend?

I feel like a total idiot asking this, like I'm a real flake!

Tomorrow dh and ds (21) are off to Belgium for the weekend, it's ds's 21st birthday present to go to the Belgian Grand Prix. Both dh and dh are huge F1 fans.

Dd1 lives away and is working all weekend. Dd2 is also working and spending most of the weekend with her boyfriend as it's much closer to work for her and dad isn't around to give her lifts (I'm medically unfit to drive).

I suffer from fairly well controlled anxiety and depression as well as a physical disability. I don't know the last time I had to spend 4 days by myself! I've reached out to a few friends but most folk are busy over the weekend. One of my closest friends is coming for r lunch on Saturday.

So I'm just feeling a wee bit fragile at the thought of being all alone. I'll have the dog and cat which is a help. It's really important I don't get upset and call dh while he's away!

So a couple of people just holding my hand will help! I feel so silly worrying about this!!

Don’t be afraid to let your friends help you to be independent and leave the house.

Maybe a new wheelchair or looking at some may help. I have a excel and I love it. So easy to lift/ wheel and loads of fab colours and accessories.
Bed is the best place though sometimes. I get that. I’ve not left mine for two days. My cat has kept me company. Lots of snuggles- he’s a stress head and is scared of his own shadow. His favourite place is next to me on my pillow. His rhythmic purr is relaxing and soothing.

Hope you have woken up feeling a bit more positive, although with the rain battering down it is hard.

Hopefully the sun will come out and cheer us all up soon.

Hi OP, how are you doing today?

I'm on my own today as my only DS is stopping at a mate's tonight and I'm single. Might take myself off for a coffee in a bit.

On the home straight now OP. Hope you can enjoy today and relish the time to be selfish guilt free.

How was the film?

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all. Dh and ds had an amazing time and got back at 9:30 this morning. Without suitcase, which is still in Amsterdam!!

I can't quite believe I managed, I only cried once and did all the laundry too!
