How did you pick your username?

Mine is based on a being from a book I'm reading at the moment (or just finished) by Marissa Meyer

Because I am. But failing.

From a thread on here where a poster misheard someone giving their name. I change quite a lot but I'm very fond of this one!

It's Minecraft Kevin, not Meinkraft. It's not German, Hitler didn't write it

I changed it a few days ago to post something very outing on a thread, got sidetracked and ended up not posting. I can't even remember what it was now.

My previous one was because I'm a geography teacher.

I used to be helenluvsrob but fortunately that changed .
maybe I need to change to robsback now

I was trying to get myself out of a bit of a black hole by doing the 'find something positive in everything' thing and thought the username would be a good reminder. (book character, for anyone who doesn't know what I'm on about)

When taking to friends I like to have a different name, inspired from the film hackers where each person has their own hacker name, eg cash override, acid burn, Lord Nikon etc.

Then I have liked different birds eg Raven's, hawks ect.

So I went with Hawkins as it combines the bird with a realistic name tag too.

The first three letters of my surname and the last four of my first name.
